Too many home runs?

Anyone else hitting too many home runs?

I'm playing on veteran difficulty with the Cubs and was crushing stuff against the Pirates with guys like DeJesus and Schierholtz. I even turned down the slider that impacts home runs a bit and it hasn't changed much.

I feel like veteran is a good difficulty for me, but I don't want to hit so many damn home runs. Any suggestions?

I assume you're playing with default sliders on Veteran. Once I got the hang of it I was doing the same thing too. The game is homerun happy on anything less than All-Star batting difficulty. Try lowering Human timing, contact, and solid hits in the sliders. All-Star is really hard in my opinion. Try staying on Veteran with those changes. Adjust as necessary.

yup it's too easy to hit home runs this year. IMO they made batting to easy. Im still having trouble finding a good balance.
Im about to try my sliders from last year adn see what happens.

I'm noticing a lot of HRs too, playing on Veteran. Then again, I have been playing (as the Mets) the past few games in Citizens Bank.

Lower power to either 1 or 0. problem solved.

I'm on HOF and I'm not getting too many HR with Power on default.
