Hitting:should I move up to legend or up sliders?

So I've been hitting on all star difficulty, using my custom sliders loosely based on Tnk's set. I think right now my hitting sliders are contact 6 power 5 solid hits 2. And it's gotten too easy to score 5+ runs most games.

Should I move to the next difficulty level for hitting? (I think that's legend iirc) or would it be best to just make my contact like 4, power 4, and solid hits 2?

I know it's kind of a personal preference thing but just wondering if maybe someone made the same change last year or something and has a recommendation

    Thanks

    - The next difficulty is Hall of Fame

    - Your contact slider being at 6 is a big part of the reason you're seeing too much offense. Try putting that back at default before you try anything else. I'd also eventually try to lower Power 1 point.

    - Check your Pitch Speed slider. Pitch speed should always be as high as you can handle. You should feel threatened by any pitch ~94 or higher.

Yeah I recommend moving your pitch speed up. I had mine on 8 and I think it's just too easy to react to the fastballs and sit on the breaking stuff. I think upping the speed will make it harder to react which will cause less perfect timing.

I would suggest staying on All-Star and making the sliders more difficult. I tried making the jump to HOF but apparently I am just not skilled enough for that level.

There seems to be a big jump between All-Star and HOF.. bigger than the other difficulties (in my opinion).

I am having good results now on all-star after I've made the sliders more difficult. I believe I have them set at:

        Contact: 4
        Power: 4
        Timing: 4
        Solid Hits: 6

I am still trying to fine tune the CPU pitching on all-star. I think I have all of the pitching on default except strike frequency is lowered 3 or 4 notches. I am playing RTTS in AA, so I am assuming that they will quit throwing as many meat balls at the higher levels.

Edit: Contact is actually set at 3. I am getting good results. If I am patient and wait for a good pitch I can get some solid hits. On HOF, even if I got a pitch center cut and timed perfectly it would be a weak hit to someone.
I still get punished if I swing at a bad pitch... as I should. I also get lucky on occasion like slapping a hit down the line on a pitch outside.

I am having a much more fun time than I was on HOF. I played HOF for 4 RTTS seasons and even though I was getting better, it was still extremely difficult and my seasons were littered with cold streaks.
