Any good manager sliders out there??

I'm looking for solid manager sliders. Anyone know if there are any floating around?

FYI: Manage only mode is broken.

Ball/strike ratio is all out of balance....

Turn control and strike frequency all the way down, play a full game and still both pitchers will combine to throw maybe 3-4 balls the entire game. If you want to fix this bug, you must pause the game before each pitch... which is incredibly annoying.

It's a shame, hopefully it will be fixed soon, because I really enjoy MOM

The developers have stated they are aware of this, and will have it fixed in a patch.

It is broken, but there is a workaround. I have played two games since finding out about the workaround and the pitchers are now throwing about 60% of their pitches as strikes (this includes foul balls) and there have been a handful of walks from both teams.

The workaround to MoM play is to press the "Start" button twice in fairly rapid succession prior to every pitch. It is a pain in the rear end, but until this bug is patched and if you want to play MoM in MLB 14 you are just going to have to bite the bullet and do it. By the way it sounds worse than it is (this business of pressing the "Start" button twice). It all takes less than a second to do it prior to each pitch.

To the OP's request for sliders. I was hoping someone else would post theirs first. But when I get home later today I will post mine if nobody else has posted any. My slider setting seem to work reasonably well in my 4 MLB 14 MoM games to date. But what we need is for nomo17k to work his magic with his statistical evaluation of MLB 14 (like he has done in past iterations of the game). My sliders are tweaks of what nomo has recommended from last year. But my tweaks are not at all statistical. They are more of a gut feel.

Current MLB 14 sliders for MoM + CPU games:

        CPU Contact: 5
        CPU Power: 5
        CPU Timing: 5
        CPU Foul Frequency: 7
        CPU Solid Hits: 5
        CPU Starter Stamina: 6
        CPU Reliever Stamina: 5
        CPU Pitcher Control: 4
        CPU Pitcher Consistency: 5
        CPU Strike Frequency: 4
        CPU Manager Hook: 3
        Pitch Speed: 10
        Fielding Errors: 4
        Throwing Errors: 4
        Fielder Run Speed: 4
        Fielder Reaction: 5
        Fielder Arm Strength: 3
        Baserunner Speed: 5
        Baserunner Steal Ability: 5
        Baserunner Steal Frequency: 5
        Wind: 5
        Injury Frequency: 5

I was unaware that it's broken but thank you for letting me know. Hopefully it's fixed asap! I love manager mode especially with the new "fast count" option.

Do you guys know when the patch will be out?

Have no idea when a patch will be available. The game is only 3 days old for most of us and this bug was only discovered since the game's release. However I should add, since you say you are a MoM Quick Count player. This bug does not effect QC games. It only effects MoM games where every pitch is played.

Is the manager mode still broken with the balls and strikes?

No patch has been released yet. If you want to play MoM where every pitch is thrown you need to press the "start" button twice prior to every pitch. But if you play MoM with Quick Counts, then this bug will not surface.

I've been playing and pausing it ... it only takes a second to do plus with fast play on you don't even notice it

Actually yes just recently modified one setting.

I was reviewing what was being discussed in the http://www.operationsports.com/forum...version-6.html thread

and I noticed they had their foul frequencies way down at 3 while mine was at 7. I think 7 might have worked fine in MLB 13 (I am pretty sure nomo17k had it at 7 in last years game), but 7 seems to be too high in MLB 14. Most of the starters in the MLB 14 games I have played to date were not getting past the 5th or 6th innings and having a lot of foul balls likely contributed to their high pitch counts. So I recently dropped foul frequency down to 5 to see how that goes. 3 is not out of the question. But I thought I'd try 5 first before making the huge leap down to 3.

PS: I did try all of nomo17k and ralphie's recent recommendations in one CPU vs CPU game. It was a QC game so I am not sure if that also influenced the result. But it was a rather high scoring affair. The Dodgers beat the Giants 17-12. Now this was only one game. I know we need to play tons of games to let things average themselves out. But it was shocking to see all those runs in the first game after trying new slider recommendations. However I should have some time on the weekend to try nomo's and ralphie's sliders again in some additional CPU vs CPU games to see if this Dodgers/Giants scoring fest was just an anomaly. I am curious why they have solid hits at 7 with pitcher control way down at 2 or 3. But I am not gathering statistics like they are.

I have had the same experience as you have where the sliders in the other thread seem to give me too much offense. I played about 15 games with them. I play MOM with QC btw. I tried your for @3 games and kinda dig them so far. Im not sure if long term they will lead to any blowouts and might be a little low offensively but ill need to play more. Im gonna try the foul frequency slider cause ive also had the same experience as you have had.

                        Thanks!

Just FYI I have turned my foul balls down to 0 because there were so many. I still see a lot of them and guys still have long at bats but not as much as before. I turned it down that low because I hate seeing long at bats over and over again. I was tired of pulling my pitcher in the 6th inning of a good game because his pitch count was so high.
