Contact sliders NEED to be set at zero...

I just thought I'd start a new thread so that people just glancing through this forum know about this.

It is easily the most required tweak to any of the sliders. Thanks FootballFan.

I'm having awesome games with these contact settings, and power at 3-4 based on how I feel that day.
I creating Ryan Langarhans and put him in the braves roster, but not only my entire braves roster changed but other teams roster changed too. Why is that. Now if the braves or other teams trade or sign players, there will be no point for chsnging it. If u don't have online like me, u be sad too.

We'll, like most people areound here say, I think it's still important to find sliders that work for your skill level. Playing on Veteran, my offense plummets with the contact slider at 0. I've played with it at 0, 4, 5, and am now at 6. I'm finally able to mount an offensive attack, while still seeing less screaming line drives.

        Mr Bee,

I posted this last weekend about lowering the contact sliders, and you said you said you were having trouble with cpu scoring with them on default and you didnt think lowering them would work. Why the change?

Just curious...are you still seeing them score a lot with them lowered? I am.

That was when I still had my contact over zero and i was having a problem getting them to score enough to stay competitive with me (5-6 runs per game).

Since they're both zeroed out I'm getting everything from 10-0 defeats to 2-1 victories. So much better.

With the strike zone being so huge (at least compare to MVP's strike zone), human contact definitely needs to be raised.

But you're missing the point. Many people here believe that the contact slider does not help you make contact, which would make your statement irrelevant. Instead, many believe the contact slider affects what kind of contact you'll make once you hit it. A higher slider means always getting SOLID contact on the "sweet spot", meaning more laser beam liners and, consequently, a less variety of hit types. A lower slider decreases the "sweet spot", resulting in more choppers, dribblers, bloopers, etc. People are saying that you get the same amount of hits, but that they come in a much more variety of types with the slider lower because you aren't always nailing that sweet spot dead on.

How is this affecting the long ball? Are you still seeing as many home runs? What about the power slider? How is that affecting things?
