    power sliders

What power sliders are you guys using on veteran? I'm 17 games into the season and haven't given up a single damn homerun! I've only hit about three myself. So, yeah, what are you guys using?

I have the power set at 16. Anything past that, the homeruns seem to come too often.

I have the same results with the power set at default. You're not alone. The most either team has scored in any of my games has been 4 runs and there have been many shutouts. I was going to up the power slider today when I played.

That is for both yourself and the cpu? What do you have contact set at?

That slider setting is for both and I have the contact slider set at 6 currently.

contact slider at 6 for both teams? Won't that make me strikeout more? I am averaging about 12 - 14 strikeouts a game.

The contact slider does not appear to affect whether you miss the ball more but it seems to affect the quality of hit off the bat. Lowering it seems to play a role in increasing hit variety. If you are striking out that many times it seems like you have a timing issue. I would go down to rookie where you can solely focus on timing and get your stroke down and then jump back up!

Thanks for the advice. I tried Rookie but was getting more than 20 hits a game. I think if I just keep at it, the strikeouts will come down.
