I did a quick search in the forum, but didn't find what I was looking for...
When I played my first rated game I went through the tips screens and they talked about how confidence/energy of pitchers will affect how they perform for you in game, which I think is a pretty good idea, keeps guys from playing as one team and just going with the ace. When I've played I usually pick the pitcher in the rotation that has max energy & confidence...but does it really matter? I've played guys that have gone with the staff ace and they start off with little to no energy and end up throwing 110-140 pitches. Just wondering how this is really supposed to work and if it's working as intended? My thoughts would be for a fatigued pitcher he wouldn't be able to properly execute all of his pitches, fast balls would lose mph, breaking balls would flatten, etc, thus get hit harder and confidence falls apart and pitches become even less effective.
