Playing/Managing AA Team - is it feasible?

I'm wondering how feasible this idea would be.

(I currently run my Marlins MLB franchise and play their AAA and AA teams when I get ahead on the MLB fixtures)

I have a friend who lives in Richmond, VA and his local team, the Richmond Flying Squirrels, are obviously in the game.

Could I start a franchise (SF is the Major team) and only play or actively manage the AA team, while just simulating/autopiloting the AAA and SF Giants teams?

Obviously I'd lose players to the AAA over the season, but that's expected.

Also, are the OSFM rosters accurate in so far as containing the actual players from the minors, or would I need to do some specific editing to get the Squirrels to the stage where they seemed to be the real team?

I know how frustrating it can be playing AA, done it quite a few times, but it would just be an extra level of fun and might even help sell my buddy on the idea of buying a PS4 and The Show later this year after I've shown him some footage and regular franchise updates.

[EDIT - if this would be better in the general forum, rather than rosters, please feel free to move it. Wasn't sure where to ask about the Roster management]

I don't think you can choose to only manage the AA team, you'd probably have to take care of all of the minor league teams. You could do that and set everything for the MLB team to auto.

As for OSFM, it does indeed have pretty accurate minor league rosters for the most part (as in the vast majority of the roster should be accurate). So you should be pretty happy with the Flying Squirrels roster if you play with it.

That's what I was hoping. I'll play my Marlins' game this afternoon and then have a go at setting the SF franchise up with the OSFM roster.

Hoping that it will be as simple as loading the OSFM roster and starting the franchise.

It might not be a bad idea to remove all them minor leaguers from the 40-man roster for SF in the roster before starting the franchise. This will keep all of those players from getting called up to MLB for spring training. Then, once you start your franchise, you can put those players back on the 40-man and then hit "End Spring Training" to start the season. It should save you some annoying roster management in the franchise.
