O.S.F.M v2.0 causes missing players in RTTS
Hey guys I just wanted to let you know I noticed a problem in RTTS when using the OSFM rosters where certain players who are injured in real life and are placed on single A in the OSFM rosters are being left off the RTTS roster. I started my SP career last night and was drafted by the Mets and Matt Harvey wasn't in the organization. I noticed a couple other players were missing too so I restarted using the normal live roster update.. This isn't an issue with my 2nd baseman or other careers who I started before the rosters came out.
so just beware if this issue.Last edited by Kirkel13; 05-12-2014, 04:08 PM.Tags: None -

Great observation. I noticed Jeremy Hellickson doesn't exist in my current RTTS. Didn't catch the correlation to players starting in A-ball when you create your RTTS file tho.
I'm gonna go thru OSFM and put those players back in the MLB and start a new file to see what happens.
Edit: Although, I remember seeing A-rod in my RTTS and got a little mad, lol. He starts out at Class-A, so I dunno... -

It seems the showcase players override the low end of the roster, like just you used to do one the lowest overall player in your position.PSN: KMRBlue1027

Battlefield 4
MLB: The Show (Duh)

I think that is why they said to use the original osfm roster when playing RTTS, but use the v2 when you want to play a franchise season with full control. They knew there would be issues, and no reason for players to be on dl in minors when you are playing as a Minor leaguer anyway.Comment

Re: O.S.F.M v2.0 causes missing players in RTTS
I moved the injured players from Class-A to the majors, started a new RTTS, and everyone is there.
KMRBlue is right. It looks like the Showcase players overwrite some of the Class-A players, and if you have Harvey, Hellickson, etc, down there, you're taking a chance on having them deleted.
Either use the original OSFM rosters, or take the injured players out of Class-A on the roster set you have.Comment

Re: O.S.F.M v2.0 causes missing players in RTTS
That's what I did. I downloaded OSFM V2 then went through every teams roster management and moved all the injured players in single A and all the players that should be on the MLB roster from triple A to the MLB roster. After you are finished doing that you just hit auto correct and problem solved.Comment

If you move players around in the team management section and if all the rosters are not correct you'll see red check marks for the ones that are incorrect and you can hit square for the computer to auto correct for you.Comment

Re: O.S.F.M v2.0 causes missing players in RTTS
cool, then i can just save that roster down as a different name (because of the changes) and load that one up right?Comment

Re: O.S.F.M v2.0 causes missing players in RTTS
Just overwrite the save you have for OSFM being that they are the same roster but just with the inured players on the MLB roster. If you want to create another roster then by all means do that. The way that I like to play a franchise or RTTS is have all players who have been injured in real life and put into the minors for the roster is to move them up to the MLB roster and let the franchise or RTTS determine if they become inured or not.Comment

Sorry about any trouble with that guys....
I didn't know the new showcase was overwriting players.(I knew they were fakes...I just didn't realize it was actually altering the roster files....I figured it filled in fake players to play against just for games.....I guess I should have thought that through a little more:o
Glad you guys figured it out though.

Re: O.S.F.M v2.0 causes missing players in RTTS
Hi Everyone,
I really want to use Knigts rosters, but I am just a casual baseball fan and do not know much about players/lineups. I realize that Knight moved all injured players to 1A which is fine, but I am concerned they will not be moved back up to the Majors when their injury is up.
Is there a list anywhere of all MLB players that knight moved to 1A. If not, do the first OSFM roster set have these injured players moved to 1A? If the first set does not, I will probably just use those.
My primary concern is missing out on star players because they are hurt and moved to 1A and I am not baseball saavy enough to know who to bring back for all 30 teams..
EDIT--- I am not playing RTTS, but rather basic franchise mode.
Thanks!!Last edited by ch46647; 05-13-2014, 08:19 PM.Comment

this is also an up to date injury list, so you can make sure that the players you are bringing up are indeed still injured. what i did, is i just moved all class a players up that belong in the mlb back to mlb in the game, and then the players that are on the DL for the season according to this list, i moved back to class a once i started my franchise. since this is for RTTS only you should just have to move them back up to the MLB and then just let the CPU do its thing.
