    Player Number Issue

    Hi,

I am an avid roster editor, but this is my first year making rosters for MLB the Show. Overall, the game seems very compliant to customization, but I keep running into an issue with player jersey numbers not being correct and was wondering if one of the veteran roster editors knew how to fix this. For example, I made the 1989 Oakland A's. Dave Stewart is #34. I have entered this as his preferred number and double checked that no one on the mlb roster has that number either. Yet, when i save and check him he keeps showing up as #37. This blows. Is there a fix? Is there a reason for this like there is for the number 42? is there a way to hack it in an external roster editor? Any info would be appreciated. This really ruins the atmosphere for my throwback teams. Thanks.

Just looked up retired Oakland As numbers and Rollie Fingers number 34 is retired by the team. That might be why it keeps changing his number.

      Thanks,
I thought that also. that would make sense, but I am working on the 79 Pirates and have Willie Stargell as #8 and it works for him. His number was retired also. It seems very random.

Figured it out. The roster I'm using as a template has a bunch of generated CAPs with the same number. that was one of them. I changed all of them to something else and it worked. Cool.
