Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM V2 Roster Update
Any new updates on this?
As someone who "discovered" your 7/29 update, I really appreciate you going through all of the updated SCEA ratings. I personally like to stick with SCEA's rating scale, simply because that was what the game was designed to use, so this roster is perfect for me.Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

I agree about that ratings. I also added any new ratings updates from this week's SCEA update.
I do have a more updated roster, "8/10 beta" in the vault that I think is still on the first page in the vault with 70% or so.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM V2 Roster Update
Checked out your beta roster and its really good. I also prefer that SCEA players aren't imported over. One thing is Roughned Odor for Texas has the wrong age. He should only be 20 not 23. I am not sure if there are any other players with incorrect age. Looking forward for your latest update. I will hold off my franchise till then.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM V2 Roster Update
Although this roster hasn't gotten as much hype as a lot of the other rosters here, I've found it to be one of if not the best roster for long term franchise stats. I've tested his beta roster quite extensively and the results have been life like and steady. I was even tempted the start my franchise with the beta set, it's that good, but I'm going to hold out until the final release. For anyone out there searching for an updated OSFM roster based on SCEA's ratings, look no further. Great job SideEffect!Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM V2 Roster Update
I wasn't able to spend as much time as I was hoping to this weekend. I'm up to date on all transactions and MLB lineups now though. Now I can focus on finishing up the NL West minors lineups again.
Also working on adding some missing players. I can't find the Rangers newly promoted pitched Jon Edwards on any roster. I also imported in SCEA's Jumbo Diaz which has his listed weight of 315lb, which you can't edit yourself, and added OSFM's face to him. Also adding some equipments edits.
Hoping to release a final roster any day now before starting a franchise. I can release another beta roster before then if it takes longer.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show OSFM V2 Roster Update
The remaining things I want to do are: import in some new updated faces for some players.
Get most of all Top 50 prospects to have a 'Top 50' circle next to their name. Since original OSFM roster only had a few. Deciding whether to use MLB.com Pipeline (Featured on MLB Network) or Baseball America's list.
Update some more created minors players with SCEA ratings.
Additional equipment edits.
And any possible transactions or lineup changes.
I was going to wait until I make those changes to release a final roster since should be soon. I suppose I could release an updated beta before then too.
I let Orion get a hold of the roster and test out some franchise sims. Sounds like it turned out very well with the updated SCEA ratings! He said Chris Davis led the league with 44 homers. Miggy, Mike Trout, and Victor Martinez all hit .325+ with Martinez leading the league at .336. (The AL batting leader right now in real life is Altuve with .339.)
In the NL, Matt Carpenter was the NL batting Average leader at .317. Four other guys were very close. (Carpenter hit .318 last year, and right now Morneau leads NL at .317 with 2nd place .313.)
Wins leader had 18 - Matt Cain, Clayton Kershaw.
Saves leader had 49.
Playoff clubs looked awesome, Atlanta, Washington, St. Louis, LA Dodgers and Pittsburgh in the NL; and Detroit, Oakland, Seattle, Toronto, and Baltimore in the AL. (All teams in playoff race in real life right now.)
In the 2 sims I ran last night, my Cubs had 55 wins both as of today's date both times. Same as in real life!Comment

The 8/10 beta was the last one I have in the vault. I'm all up to date on transactions and lineups including AAA and AA as of last night!
