I am trying to update the the OSFM offseason 12/3 rosters with what has happened since. In doing the player search I bring up a name...ie Justin Smoak...and the name appears in the right box after performing the search, but it doesn't allow you to hit the X to assign to another team. I had thought in the past you could. Am I wrong????

Thanks for responding. I am obviously an idiot when it comes to this kind of stuff, hence why I usually let the experts here do the roster updates and use those
But my question is then how do they do these updates? If I load their roster on the main menu and do player search I cant move the players around??? If true I have even more respect for all the work you guys do with these. Thanks!

With player search in the front menu you can't select him and move him around (you can in franchise mode though). You have to go to the roster control screen and select a team and select player movement. Once you've done that you move players from team to team, but you have to trade for another player in order for it to work. Samer thing goes for releasing a player you have to swap him with a player in one of the Free Agent lists.Thanks for responding.
