    Joey Gallo

I am probably most interested in his power attribute. Yes Bryant can mash also but Gallo is probably in Stanton kind of power territory. Even tho he is a prospect (80/80 power grade) what do some of u feel like his power should be? I feel like it can easily be in the mid to high 80s...contact obviously low, but anyone who has seen him hit, shoot, even just the HR he hit at Target Field....knows he's deserving of something more then a 70 power.

We all know he is a beast on the minors but he has not prove anything on the majors to deserve a power rating over 80, for now i think a 75 vs RHP is fair and a 65-68 vs LHP, his raw power is higher than that but he needs to prove that he can make contact consistently against MLB pitching.

Here is a classic case of overrating prospects. He is good, but remember if you give him 80's power ratings, he will be a 99 in both against RHP and LHP in no time. if you gave him an 85 vs both, and with him being 21 years old and probably high potential, he will go up 4-7 in both power for a few years then go up maybe 2-3. When Gallo is 24 he does not need to have power ratings that would put him with the likes of Barry Bonds, Mike Stanton and so on.

Raw power does not equate into power ratings in the show. Mark Reynolds has insane raw power but is a below average player. In MLB the show, if you give someone such high power, they will consistently hit home runs. He should be around 60-65 to give him room to progress, and btw that 60-65 should be way ahead of other prospects and be near or at the top of power ratings for prospects.

In the Hybrid set, we have Gallo at 74 POWvRHP and 72 POWvLHP. Along with low contact (30s) and vision (20s). it makes him authentic. It's dangerous reducing any one player to a single attribute, when it's really a combination of a few different ones that will govern how well he hits and hits homers.

ya ok ur pretty much right around what i was thinking. I was thinking bout 75vsRHP and 73vsLHP and 40 contact cuz everyone knows hes hit a bomb or strikeout guy. I feel like it could b in the 80s but i would never let him start there. thx for the input tho.
