what is the thinking going to be when it comes to the creation of Moncada? A lot of scouts have said he has the potential to be a stud in the league so I was wondering what the creators were thinking of giving him as ratings? and also what position would be his main upon completion (SS? 3B? OF?)

He should be at 2B because that is the position he is playing this year in A ball. Yes they still have Pedroia but Moncada is still more than a year away from playing in the Show.

Just an FYI guys - I was able to use "the workaround" with the OSFM Hybrid set and it made the process 1,000 times easier this year.I have the Red Sox system completely fileld in and ready. I just need to blow through the system and do subtle tweaks to batting stances, equipment, faces, etc.

I'll post an update in here so you guys know what the rosters will look like once I get them sent over to Knight's team who handles the master file. I think you guys will be very pleased

Just an FYI guys - I was able to use "the workaround" with the OSFM Hybrid set and it made the process 1,000 times easier this year.I have the Red Sox system completely fileld in and ready. I just need to blow through the system and do subtle tweaks to batting stances, equipment, faces, etc.

UPDATE

The workaround feature was such a time saver this year.......I have completed the Red Sox system and have given the file to Ridin/Knight/Willard for import into the master roster file.

I went into extra detail on ratings, equipment, faces and deliveries/stances for the big name guys such as Owens, Swihart, Moncada, Johnson, Rodriguez, Margot, Marrero, Coyle etc. All players are done well, but I definitely put extra detail into nailing the top guys.....I think you guys will be pleased.

There are a bunch of young Red Sox who are included in the game already as well like Betts, Barnes, Bradley, Hembree, Escobar, Cecchini, Brentz, Castillo, Wright, etc. I'm not going to list every single guy that is created but I can tell you that these players are all included:

SP - Owens, Johnson, Rodriguez, Ball, Stankiewicz, Cosart, Diaz, Augliera, Haley, Light, Kopech

RP - Celestino, Mercedes, Younginer, Ramirez, Hinojosa, Crosby

C - Swihart, Spring, Martinez

No one can predict the future, obviously, but I have a strong feeling that Moncada is going to end up at 3rd or a corner OF spot. He's only 19 and is already 210lbs and likely to fill out further as he matures physically, which will make him a little big for 2B (Cano is the same size NOW for example). That, combined with Panda's likely move to first base/DH when Papi retires and Naps is gone...along with Pedey's contact that runs through 2021(he's not moving off 2B (Jeter)), all point to this kid not sticking at 2B past this season.

I could be wrong...but it's a logical guess/assumption. I think that they are just sticking him at the position that he has played the most just to ease his transition to professional ball in the states.

Moncada should be at 2nd base because Cherrington has already come out and said that he will be playing the position this year.

Cherington said Moncada will remain at second base, the position Moncada said he is most comfortable, for the time being.

You can always change the position yourself later on down the road. But this year he is playing 2B.

I read that...and I think it is to ease his transition to the states. I'm definitely moving him to third. I was more or less throwing it out there for others due to the idea that if you're playing RTTS, you may end up with Moncada replacing Pedey in a couple of years and I'm pretty sure that won't happen in real life. The scenario that I the out there is much more likely in my opinion. Again, I'm not knocking anyone's thoughts or ideas here (I loved the OP's direction and overall work last year...seriously, it was great and my hat's off for the time, effort and quality). I'm just adding my two pennies this year on Moncada.

On a side note, Mookie started at 2B in the Minors and didn't even play the outfield until he was called up.

All guys who are in the stock game for this year are in the set.......guys like Betts, Castillo, etc. are not created players. They are the real players who are in this years game
