THIS THREAD IS TO DISCUSS ALL CREATION RELATED SUBJECTS, INCLUDING SERVICE TIME, SECONDARY POSITIONS, FACE CREATION, EQUIPMENT EDITS ETC.
Hi all. We decided to create a thread to discuss creating players this year, seeing that with Y2Y saves seemingly becoming a reality for rosters, this could be the be all end all of OSFM rosters.
What we create this year will hopefully be carried on to next year and so on.
Also, we want to ensure there is continuity in all aspects of this roster this year. There will be a second thread created to discuss ratings and potentials - please do not use this thread for that.
I and a few others mentioned in the recruiting thread that we would like to see faces copied from the Hybrid roster we are continually updating right now with touch ups to everyone's hard work last year. Myself, teeds and Motown among others spent almost all last summer working on touching up or in some cases doing a full new creation of some players. This is not slamming anyone's work, because I know most rosters were created on the PS3 and the ps4 editor is just far superior. I have pretty much tinkered with every Blue Jay I created taking some players to a level I did not think I could.
If you are a good face creator please don't feel the need to copy our work, but we need to ensure faces come out high quality so every team meets the next teams standard. Also I just don't want to see our hard work go to waste, as well, copying if you can do it takes max 15 min per players as opposed to the hours it can take to make a new face. As well, if we receive any common faces or simple ones we will have to copy over it or recreate it forcing delays in release. We have had a couple of volunteers to copy over faces already and if anyone else would like to help out with that, please touch base with myself, Ridin or Teeds
Below are some before and afters as well as some creations for players with service time who will not be in 15.
Service time will be important to get right this year as well. I would estimate that we had to create roughly 100 players last year because they did not have proper service time given. My suggestion is leave your players with service time until the end of your project to give time for a weekly update or 2 with players being added with service time. I hope we can get someone to scour the releases every week again and create a service time thread like last year. Also, Motown and I have been already creating faces for players with service time. I will share a list of who we have done on this post in the next day or 2 as well as a pic if I have time to upload it.
Positions and secondary positions
Please find a player to create over that shares the proper positions for the player you are creating. Again, if we can find a volunteer that can name off players in the default roster who cover off all different setups that would be great.
