Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
This does not 100% he will be there sometimes a few players where and there get forgotten. As look at last year a few players who played in 2013 were not on 2014. I hope they get everyone on there but again sometimes they over look some.Youtube: https://youtube.com/@mlbnetworkleagu..._hz5M86fl-FbW4

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Also in order for a player to be in the show without playing the year before is the following:
-They are on a teams 40 man and on the restricted list the entire year.(must stay on 40 man entire year)
-On a teams 40 man and injured out for the season. (must stay on 40 man entire year)
Players accumulate service time if in those categories.
Pretty sure Matt Hague and Tim Beckham will be in MLB 15. Beckham has 0.145 days of service time. He only played in 5 games in 2013 (0 Games in 14 he was out for the season and on the Rays 40 man). No way you accumulate that kind of service time in 5 games.
Example of how a guy doesn't show up in game. Mike Olt from 2013 he was on both the Cubs and Rangers 40 man, but wasn't injured and never got called up therefore he loses is MLBPA status. Matt Davidson is the same example this year for the White Sox.
Few more examples Arod is MLB 15 missed all of last season on the restricted list (Was on 40 man all year)
Victor Martinez and John Lackey both missed all of 2012 (injuries and both were on their teams 40 man all year) Both were in MLB 13
Matt Moore/Matt Harvey missed all of 2014 and is MLB 15.
Grady Sizemore was in MLB 12 and 13 after missing 2 straight seasons. (was injured and on the Indians 40 man for 2 seasons)
Matt Hague was in an SCEA roster update in MLB 14.
Example of a player not turning in his MLBPA paperwork right away. Erisbel Arreubarrena made his debut in the summer. He wasn't added to an SCEA roster update until the very last roster update. It took him that long to turn in his paperwork.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 03-18-2015, 12:19 AM.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Ok, aside from faces, let's discuss EQUIPMENT EDITS. Showtyme has a great thread with equipment pics for everyone - but the question was raised about use of generic equipment on the Recruiting Thread.
Here is my take for what it's worth
I haven't seen all the brands or configurations as of yet.
I do know NB is not in for cleats and I see a ton of guys wearing them this year. My idea is using cleat #3 so u can white out the side of the cleat similar to NB.
As for bats and gloves, use generic for brands we don't have in the game.
That's my opinion, would love to see others so we can settle on something before release.

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
For New Balance I would use generic 1 or 2.(Generic 2 would probably be best if you have to white out the middle of the cleat) I would try to avoid generic 3 altogether. never liked the way the cleat looked. For Adidas I would use generic 1. That's just my personal opinion, but whatever you guys decide on I'd be fine with (I can always change it to my own liking before I start a franchise anyways).Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
They aren't forgotten. The players don't turn in their MLBPA paperwork on time. That's why some guys take forever to be added during roster updates.

Paperwork or not sometimes it takes SCEA a couple of week and seen sometimes longer to get the APPROVAL from sony, MLB etc. I know exactly how the process works as I was the 2K insider helping with roster and players for that game and well aware of how SCEA works as well. I get some roster stuff done for this game the last few years and talk to a few developer on show nation.
I am not to beef with you lol just stating what I know and have seen in the past.Youtube: https://youtube.com/@mlbnetworkleagu..._hz5M86fl-FbW4

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Can you please explain these? I understand what your saying and nice break down but sometimes players do get over looked, and could be other reasons like MLPA issues who knows.

All were in the default roster the day MLB 15 came out
Derrick Robinson Didn't play baseball at all in 2014(He was in MLB 14 as a Free Agent)
J.C. Ramirez Was also in MLB 14 with the Indians (Last played in the Majors in 13)
Simon Castro was also in MLB 14 (last played in the Majors in 13)
They didn't have Facial scans for any of those players and for whatever reason they were editable, but had service time. (SCEA has been doing this with some players the last few years)
It is a paperwork issue when it takes weeks for a player to turn it in.
Wasn't beefing either I know how this roster stuff works.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 03-18-2015, 11:50 AM.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Regarding New Balance and Adidas and other brands not in the game I personally would prefer that all players use one of the brands that are in game, even if it is not accurate to what they wear in real life.
To me seeing a generic shoe or glove looks weirder than seeing a player using say Nike when they actually use New Balance.
It's all opinion of course, but that would be my preference. To use the branded equipment in game and do the best we can to choose ones that match the player the best. I'd rather see the wrong brand on a player over a generic any day of the week.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
I would say if a brand is not in the game then use whatever is available in the game that looks closest to the brand. That includes the generic equipment too. For instance Mizuno batting gloves are not in the game (Mizuno is in the game but not for batting gloves), but Generic Style 3 batting glove looks a lot like the Mizuno batting gloves I see a lot of players wearing in real life. I would rather do that than randomly pick Nike or Franklin.Last edited by tree3five; 03-18-2015, 08:33 PM.Comment

Generic 2 would be for NB shoes, Generic 2 gloves for Addidas gloves, Generic 3 gloves for Mizuno gloves, etc.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Adidas Cleats Generic 1
Adidas Batting Gloves Generic 1
New Balance Cleats Generic 2 (Only if the middle needs a specific color or white out. Otherwise Generic 1)
Mizuno Cleats Already in Game
Mizuno Gloves Generic 3
Some Off brand batting gloves we could use Generic 2 or whatever generic is the closest.Comment
