Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Adidas Batting Gloves could actually be Generic 1 in my opinion.
Adidas Cleats Generic 1
Adidas Batting Gloves Generic 1
New Balance Cleats Generic 2 (Only if the middle needs a specific color or white out. Otherwise Generic 1)
Mizuno Cleats Already in Game
Mizuno Gloves Generic 3
Some Off brand batting gloves we could use Generic 2 or whatever generic is the closest.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Real players also don't wear any of the generic accessories in the game either. I don't get the whole player-brand association argument. At least an MLB player could use a brand in the game currently. The generic equipment doesn't exist in reality. If you do the colors right I don't see why a Franklin batting glove can't substitute for a Mizuno one.Comment

The only exception would give players Nike who wear Jordan brand.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 03-18-2015, 10:29 PM.Comment

We can go like this all day, cyclical.
Real players don't wear Generic 1 cleats when they have New Balance.

The argument goes both ways. Yeah real players don't wear generic gear, yet you want to give players licensed gear they don't even wear. We can keep going back and forth all day on the subject if you want.Comment

In the end I find it more authentic to use an actual item that exists in reality over a generic item. Tomas wearing Nike cleats that look sort of like New Balance ones. Sign me up.Comment

While I do understand your perspective and I'm not saying you're wrong in your thought process. All I'm saying is you can't look at the generic gear as generic. Like we said before we can get certain generic equipment to look close to actual gear. In all honesty it doesn't really matter to me (I'm an equipment guy myself) if I don't like it i can always change it myself in my own file. Obviously we are going to agree to disagree. To each his own. Whatever Willard and Co. decide I'll be fine with it.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
I think at the end of the day our goal will be to give players as close to what they have in real life as we can. I think we are all tired of the generic equipment, but in some cases like cleat 1, I was always good at making it look close to Adidas, trust me I own a pair IRL.

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
None of these players were on a teams 40 man last year.
All were in the default roster the day MLB 15 came out
Derrick Robinson Didn't play baseball at all in 2014(He was in MLB 14 as a Free Agent)
J.C. Ramirez Was also in MLB 14 with the Indians (Last played in the Majors in 13)
Simon Castro was also in MLB 14 (last played in the Majors in 13)
They didn't have Facial scans for any of those players and for whatever reason they were editable, but had service time. (SCEA has been doing this with some players the last few years)
It is a paperwork issue when it takes weeks for a player to turn it in.
Wasn't beefing either I know how this roster stuff works.Youtube: https://youtube.com/@mlbnetworkleagu..._hz5M86fl-FbW4

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
This is the last thing I'll say on the subject. Yes they were CAPS by SCEA(with decent faces), but they were still in the game. SCEA has been doing this with a few players each year (It's nothing new) You made it sound like they weren't in the game at all with your "forgotten" statement"Last edited by ShowTyme15; 03-19-2015, 10:05 AM.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM CAP CREATION THREAD
Yeah man that was how it sounded. but no worries. I agree they shouldn't have been CAPS, but for whatever reason since MLB 13 they've been doing that with certain players. Maybe it's their way of throwing us a bone with editable service time guys for OSFM? but who knows.....................Anyways man I think we just misunderstood each other on the subject. No biggie.Comment
