Thinking about who could be the guy with the error in his name... I do have guys like Isringhausen as Isringhasen and Christiansen as Christiansn but that's because of the 11 characters limit for last name.
No it wasn't them. I saw them and new there was a limit.

I have been doing stats and service time while making some former Pirates from 2008. And let me tell you the biggest pain is actually figuring out the service time for the players at that time. Baseball reference has service tme starting from 2010 till now I believe. So figuring out some players from 2008 were pretty easy. But 1994 that will be pretty hard to figure out the EXACT service time.

If you do compile a list of service time for your 1994 players I would definitely be willing to help get them where they are needed, and get pretty close to their career stats at the beginning of 1994

Someone can calculate something real close to it. Say a guy spent the whole year in the majors, that's one year. Say the same guy spent a quarter or so of the next season in the majors and the other 3/4 of the season in AAA. Then, he'd have 1.043 for service time, 1 + a quarter (0.43). I'm thinking that you can guess how long the guy was on the MLB roster by looking at how much of the AAA season he played.

Thanks for this! One of the few non-1980's seasons that is one of my favorites.

I'm through importing all 30 MLB teams!

Now, I'm genericing what needs to be, and then I'm importing the Free Agents.

Then it's fixing rosters and lineups and release of V1.

              GREAT NEWS!

I found a site that has EXACT data on when lots of players signed contracts.

Get MLB news, scores, stats, standings & more for your favorite teams and players -- plus watch highlights and live games! All on FoxSports.com.

FOX Sports! Just change the name in the URL to get another players' info!

So, using FOX's site to tell me contract lenght, BR to tell me contract value and my formula to give me modernised values, I can have 100% accurate and modern economics in the game.

Are these just generated faces with player names or did you make the players?

Speaking from his 2014 work these are all original faces. Most of them are pretty spot on. I didn't notice any generic faces.

Just finished rosters for the National League.

Doing the American then releasing then doing v2, which will be almost entirely about putting in realistic contracts. I'll make a spreadsheet to make it faster.

And yeah, I do some effort so that the faces look like themselves. But obviously I worked a little more on Pedro Martinez than on Israel Alcantara :-p

Little detail: There are no longer real players on Tampa Bay. I don't know if they modified the number of players you can put on the free agents list or if I just used the spots better when I imported the FAs, but all the free agents I have in the game fit in the list now, I even have a spot for a fielder left to fill.

I totally need to know where the player ratings came from. There are a TON of players below 50 OVR. I know 1994 was strike shortened but there are so many ratings all lover the place. Like a guy having contact vsR at like 90 and then vsL at like 5. I get splits and all but that is too big of a split.

Once you got 1690 players in the game, the ones left to add leave a bit to be desired... so, added in v2 so far...

                                Braulio Castillo
                                Julio Peguero
                                Narciso Elvira
                                Brian Lane
                                Luis Iglesias
                                Terry McDaniel
                                Pete Walker
                                Denny Harriger
                                Archie Cobain
                                Danny Leon
                                Dennis Hood
                                Alex Smith
                                Efrain Valdez
                                Scott Holcomb
                                Luis M. De Los Santos
                                Hector Wagner
                                Mike Walker
                                Willie Magallanes
                                Brent Knackert
                                Dean Wilkins
                                Dave Eiland
                                Derek Livernois
                                Bob Zambrano

Some of them are free agents picked to start filling up Tampa & Arizona. Best known is probably Pete Walker, who may not have been that good, but he at least lasted a while.
