The biggest difference between something like this and something like the OSFM is going to be the equipment and contracts.

Those things simply werent available in 14 so there is no way to bring it over.

The OSFM this season is going to be an amazing base for future rosters.

Hopefully nothing major changes in the future so that these can be carried over from year to year.

I know I might be dreaming, but a year to year transfer of roster files would be amazing. The base OSFM would be done in a week. All that would need to be done would be faces and minor equipment changes.

Pitch edits would also be minor and could be handled after the first release

Ok, ok...Im getting way ahead of myself.

Anyway, Im pumped for this years OSFM. Im not sure that I have any value when it comes to roster making, but if you have any grunt work that needs to be done, I would love to contribute something to these rosters just so I can feel like I helped somehow.

If you have anything just let me know

Not really dreaming, I think Ramone said that they were trying to get that done for MLB 16.

Ok, sick. That will get rosters finished within days after the release. Please usually keep up with the previous years rosters all the way until the next release, so it should be a quick upload.

Then just adjust some faces since graphics will change from year to year. Fix any equipment, pitches, ratings (which are all pretty minor issues) and boom, the rosters are done.

That news makes this years OSFM all the much more important. It will be a base for the future rosters that will need to be carried over.

        Totally pumped for those.

No problem. They would carryover if MLB players could be exported. But most of them can't be. The only way to use the pitch edits would be from a Y2Y save.

I changed the name of the roster to Leftover. I should have known it would be confused for something else. I have 8 teams left. Once I finish, the next thing will be to work on contracts. Then it's goodbye editing and hello playing.

              so, your roster will have:

              * scea 2015 mlb player ratings and scea pitch repertoires.

              * some minor leaguers from OSFM, with SeanJezzy Pitch edits for imported minor league pitchers.

              that is correct ?

I am glad to start doing the real contracts of MLB players tonight, if you will allow me. I can upload to vaukt with what I get done and you can retrieve roster from vault. I an Pacific time.

Pitch edits are important to me, as I never hit and only pitch But, I can add those edits as I play my franchise.

any other people want to help ? ask mooch, not me; these are his rosters.

and thanks willard and all otherw for your great roster -- Your roster is the best.

PM ne if you wish, mooch.

Correct on all accounts. I'm finishing up the AL Central tonight. Should be done with all teams tomorrow. Then you can take the roster and edit the contracts. That would be great. But let me finish on my end before you start doing that.

I think I'm just going to keep the roster for my own use, which what was originally intended. All I wanted to do was export and import as many players from last years OSFM so I can start my franchise in 15. My intent was never to get it out. But when I saw this thread, I figured I lend a helping hand. Little did I know that I would ruffle some feathers in the process. But by no means was I trying to supercede the work of others. I simply wanted to help out those people who wished to start a franchise who didn't want to wait for this years OSFM.

I don't blame you. Some take this stuff and themselves way too seriously.

kudos to your honesty. this is a fun video game, not an eternal bsttle of rosters !! LOL.

mooch, could you please either tell us what teams remain to have import/export of players from your roster in the vault "Holdover", so we can finish it out on our own; Or upload what you now have, and let us know what teams are left to import/export.

heck, I will still do the contracts and Willard can burn me at the stake if he wishes: 0

well, from want I sumrise, the AL Eas NL East, NL Central and NL West (except LAD) are import/export(ed) in mooch's controversial (LMFAO) "Holdover" roster.

So, I will now input contracts for 25-30 guys on each team.

Fellas: do not let mooch's labors return to The Lord without bearing mucho grande fruit.

I have no issue with the work you have put in. I recognize how hard it is to do and really it is a bit of flattery to all of us that built the original roster last year to have people do this. All I ask is please give credit where it is due to the guys who built that roster last year, and please don't call it OSFM or Hybrid so as not to confuse people looking for the new project.
