No flap helmets

I only use classic rosters. Transferred 75 season from 14. I'd like to change appropriate helmets to no flap helmets. There's no way to change helmet type? So unless its states basic helmet a no flap cannot be done. Is there a work around? I even went back to the 14 roster to change helmet type and they all read N/A.

The problem is even worse. I just noticed I can't change the batting helmet type for any players, even fictional ones on the default roster.

That's what I was trying to say. Maybe I wasn't clear. Seems to defeat purpose of no flap helmet! Only way to use no flat is if player has "basic" helmet. But how do you give them a basic helmet? It almost seems random? Clearly not a deal breaker but still would be nice for those of us who play with historic rosters.
