    Re: OSFM2015 V.1 - Corrections

The criticism is insane here. I think its obvious Ridin isn't say these rosters are 100% without flaw, I mean this is a corrections thread after all.

These are small problems and they are being fixed if possible. If you cannot wait for V2 (Like I admittedly didn't want to) make the changes yourself. Personally even though I felt some changes were needed for me to get the most enjoyment out of the game the OSFM roster did in a couple weeks what would have taken me (and I assume most individuals) at the very least a month to do alone.

Listen - I don't think it's a secret that everyone is extremely appreciative of the tremendous amount of work that goes into these. You guys get heaps of praise and you deserve it.

However....you still haven't acknowledged that some of the items he raised can be perceived as legitimate ( again, I'm unaware, I don't have the rosters ) - but calling him out for communicating that point in a poor fashion AND
acknowledging the grievance are not mutually exclusive.

Let's not play the victim here, c'mon now.

It didn't seem very constructive at all. Just complaining. Came off as rude..

Obviously there are some errors in it which is why there is a corrections thread every year to fix what they can for V2.

It was definitely crass and rude - no doubt about that. Especially given the work put in.

But you didn't think the remark about the pitchers and pitch type had merit? I would consider that a pretty big part of a pitchers makeup.

Obviously these rosters are a work in progress and corrections will be made over time - I don't think anyone expects perfection out of the gates ( however, the rosters have always had exceptional quality ). But this IS a thread about pointing out potential corrections...that was the crux of my point about mutual exclusivity.

OFSM guys, have you started working on V2 already?

(Not talking about the hybrid roster but V2 with error corrections..)

IM SORRY IF I WAS HARSH...REALLY...IVE DONE OVER 50 SEASONS OF ROSTERS...I KNOW ITS HARD....and these rosters arent as bad as i perhaps made them seem...i checked baltmore..boston and yanks so far...i did make about 30 changes...for instance...zach davies pitch selection was way off..he doesnt throw sinker/slider according to mlb scouting report...mike hobgood is not a starter but RP ,since his injury and his velocity is down...but who ever did it, got his wind up spot on...very nice...then i added like 5 players so that baltimore would have their top 20 prospects...did same type stuff with boston...yoan BTW is perfect stance,,,excellent job...yankees missing top prospects, but then again 2 of their top prospects are only 17....good job moving the free agents to correct places...so i must have sounded harsh...im just a nut case...if i see someone with wrong stance or wind up...it ruins it for me....these rosters are very playable as they are...but ill spend a week...make about 400 changes, no matter how minor....i just need that in my game...but all in all nice work

I don't post on here b much due to the drama.. But as avid user and fan of these rosters.. I understand the frustration of the ridin. The post comes across as rude and entitled. If any research was done it was laid out that the roster are trying for true to life in terms of players at which level. Also pitch edits were discussed a ton. Each player plays differently.. If that's poster doesn't like the roster set or the 30 year olds on A ball.. Throwing sinners and sliders instead of fb and changes.. Do it yourself or download something different.. Don't trash a person hard work...

LOL...Don't fret guys. The greater percentage of OS appreciates all the hard work.

2 mentions regarding salary years that need corrections for V2 and Hybrid....

Hunter Pence SF Giants- Signed thru 2018, 5 yrs/$90M
Curtis Granderson NY Mets - Signed thru 2017, 4 yrs/$60M

Maybe the dollar amounts aren't necessarily important but the years reflecting free agency would be. Both are under 1 year contracts from the SCEA set.

                      Phillies' Odubel Herrera:

Closest accurate batting stance I've seen is Veteran 87 for him.

Also, SP Sean O'Sullivan has switched from uni No. 61 to No. 47. Did not know this until I saw him pitch yesterday. C Koyie Hill is still in the Phillies' system, had worn 47 previously.

For your hybrid set I just wanted to point out that in addition to Broxton and Zach Duke, Matt Belisle is also given a joke 99 speed rating. I tried finding a similarity between the three and there is! All 3 have formerly pitched for the Cincinnati bullpen. We could have conspiracy on our hands.

Anyway, I just created an account to thank you guys for all the hard work you put in. You guys make the game worth playing for me at least

I only looked over cubs and cards rosters so far but i noticed a few things worth reexamining in v2. Easy fixes that anyone can do in 20 seconds: Eloy Jiminez has a disappointing potential given his ceiling and kyle schwarber should probably be better at hitting than Vogelbach. Again this is more of a fix it yourself thing we all should do on our own. On the redbirds Dixon Llorens has an 95 hit 98 K rating lol. This is a guy who has a double digit ERA above A ball. (I can and will fix this on my own just informing you so for the sake of the rosters. This looks like the case of emotions contributing to ratings... how do i make Jorge Soler a 99 at everything btw?)

In terms of missing Cubbies id like to see added if possible; Kevonte Mitchell, Shawon Dunston, Rock Shoulders, and Carson Sands.

Lastly, i was hoping someone on here could point me to a roster branch of version 1 with 40 man and maybe the Se7en guys Jung Ho Kang so i can start my own edits and begin my franchise. I searched the whole vault for his kang and couldnt find it.

Thanks again for the rosters, they are awesome as always.

I agree with most of your post - but you have to admit that, if true, his point on pitch types has merit.

That's a big part of a pitcher's makeup and I'm pretty sure Kingsley would agree, despite his sensitive, yet understandable response. Again, this is a thread about ways to improve the roster. Unfortunately, for the author of the post, the actual utility of his opinion gets lost because his message was so poorly constructed.

While true it does have merit... The fact the pitch edits have been discussed and are in at least 3 different threads by themselves. That tells me he didn't even take in the intent of the rosters and the timeframe of which they were produced... If they would take longer in sure he works be in here complaining about how long they took..
