Re: OSFM2015 V.1 - Corrections
I'm glad the guys working the corrections are taking the time to get it right. It was disappointing seeing players outright copied from the 150 top prospects roster in the OSFM roster. I'm really just hoping version 2 tones down the top 10 prospects since they are all have super high OVR after 1 and 2 seasons of a franchise. Having a 90+ OVR Moncada at age 21 is just ********.Comment

Re: OSFM2015 V.1 - Corrections
So Ridin I'm a little bit confused and hoping you can help me understand a bit more about Version 2. In years past there have always been multiple Versions of OSFM and I have always waited for Version 2 to start my franchise. What I'm confused about is are you saying it will be a couple of weeks before Version 2 is released or a couple of weeks until a Version 3, 4, etc. is released? I know a couple of days ago you said that you will be posting an update soon and I'm just hoping that you see this post and can help answer my confusion. Thanks as always to you and all the roster makers who work so hard on these... Always worth the wait.
Nothing to be confused about. As i have stated multiple times I am working on V2. I dont have an ETA yet, if/when I do I will update you. It will be worth the wait.

Yeah, it's totally unrealistic for guys to be great baseball players at 21-22 years old. Never happens. Can't imagine what it would even look like.

Pretty wide variety of player types there, but they were all putting up excellent seasons at 20-22 and there are dozens more you can add to that list. If you extend that to 23 the list is endless. Baseball always has its precocious stars. The Show itself has a problem where development is too predictable long term but that's not something these guys can fix.Comment

I get what you are saying but so many people overhype prospects. You seem like one of these people basically saying Moncada is the next Arod. IMO none or atleast most of those players would not be listed at 90+ overall at age 21. As stated in another post, the potentials are too high if the OVR isn't. Their ratings increase way too fast with even mediocre performance. Also keep in mind the drafted players in franchise mode can also be high overalls but at least the game compensates with age somewhat. I understand that the game doesn't compensate for draft busts or whatever but I was just trying to say that overalls and potentials should be managed more conservatively. Thanks for replying to my post.Comment

Thanks again for the 40 man sets. If it wasn't for you my rosters wouldn't be here today Mill. They'd probably be dead... face down in a drained pool somewhere.Comment

Re: OSFM2015 V.1 - Corrections
His potential rating in OSFM V1 is 88, which means he's on the edge of becoming an elite prospect. If he performs well in your franchise, you'll see that potential increase to an A value after a season or so.
Personally from what I've scouted on him, I project him as a solid every day player, NOT an elite player. I project him as a Matt Holliday type player but not as good.
Just my opinion though. The great thing about the roster is: it's TOTALLY editable! You don't like it, you can edit it yourself. But I personally think a high B potential is suiting.but I think I'll go with the more established consensus that he was one of the best hitters, if not the best, in his draft class.
And the whole point of this thread is to bring up issues you might have, so simply saying "edit him yourself" is a bit foolish to say the least.
I don't know, if being taken 6th overall and being labelled probably the best in an entire draft class isn't worthy of an "A" potential then what is? It's not like the guy has stumbled at the minor league level, as he's only had something like 150 PAs. No reason to trim anything off his potential yet.Comment

Ooooh wow, your scouting credentials are impressivebut I think I'll go with the more established consensus that he was one of the best hitters, if not the best, in his draft class.

14 Crawford 89
15 Rodon 89
16 Glasnow 90
17 Swihart 91
18 Daniel Norris 88
19 K Scwarber 86
20 A Jackson 88
21 R Castillo SCEA
22 D Dahl 88
23 R Stephenson 92
24 J Gray 89
25 A Bradley 97?
26 B Shipley 87
Bradley's POT is a bit crazy, perhaps a typo? But it otherwise appears Mr. Jackson is rated appropriately when compared to similar prospects.Comment
