While I try not to engage in on-line drama, because let's face it, we are all talking about a video game here. Whether it's me or any of the numerous guys on here doing sliders, or Willard, WTNY, or Knight and Co. releasing their respective rosters, what it really comes down to is us making adjustments, edits, amendments (whatever term tickles your fancy) to a VIDEO GAME. As somebody already pointed out, this is a hobby which we all enjoy, and we CHOOSE to share these edits with the community.

Now, I understand why Willard and WTNY had an issue with Redsfan for releasing a roster with the "hybrid" name because it will inevitably cause confusion, and flood THEIR thread with countless, unnecessary, "Is this your roster?" question. I think that's already been well-established at this point. However, I think Redsfan didn't do any of this with ill-intent. In fact, even before he changed the thread title, he did put in bold that these were not Willard's and WTNY's hybrid rosters. And as a result of the requests by both Willard and WTNY to change the thread title, he did. Now, I'm not at home to figure out if he renamed the rosters or not. If he did, I'm sure that would squash a lot of the confusion right off the bat.

BUT....

In the 8 pages of this thread, I've seen the most condescending, entitlement-filled, arrogant posts (from a couple of guys that I won't name) that I've EVER witnessed in my nearly 8 years of being a part of this community. And I'm not going to get all "we should love each other every moment of every day", but there are certain things that are just uncalled for. To come down as hard as people have on this dude is really unwarranted. And what's pretty ironic is, as the guys that should be the most offended by this, Willard and WTNY have been relatively diplomatic about the entire situation. It's these other guys that go off on these tangent-filled manifestos essentially crucifying somebody who, yes, definitely made a mistake; but, the dude made this mistake without any ill-intentions, and from what I've read up to this point, has made efforts to try and rectify that mistake.

I'm not personally invested in these rosters in any way. I may give them a shot, and I may not. I have the OSFM V1 rosters, and I've already started my Dodgers franchise. I look forward to the OSFM Hybrid roster whenever it does get released. Personally, I'm a pretty happy camper.

It's used to be laughable to point at, and make fun of internet tough guys, who jump all over anybody that doesn't follow the "rules" just because of their own inferiority complexes. But in reading THIS particular thread, it just really made me shake my head in disgust at the fact that certain guys take the term "internet tough guys" to a whole new level.

Redsfan, you've responded more diplomatically and more graciously than I ever could have in this situation. Whether I try out your rosters or not, as somebody that spends many hours of his own free time creating slider sets, I appreciate your work and attempting to share it with the community.

Oh and I never directed a post at redsfan until he posted one directed at me. And even then I was civil in my response. My post was directed towards rjackson and his ridiculous post.

I just don't understand the thought process of some when reading through things. It seems some of you are not understanding the posts and are interpreting them as something that isn't there at all...

I decided to take your advice and read through your posts in the thread again, and my initial assessment of your condescending and overwhelmingly arrogant tone still stands. Whether you were directing them at rjackson, ruffy, or Redsfan, the tone is consistent throughout.

What I'm confused about is your self-appointed position of being the mouthpieces for Willard and WTNY. It seems that they are both capable and intelligent enough to speak for themselves on this matter, which they've already done. And aside from their initial reactions, they have already pretty much squashed the issue. And yet, here you are, blowing up multiple people in the thread with your ridiculous, and quite frankly, LAUGHABLE posts.

Perhaps you should get off your own personal pedestal, and re-read MY post before suggesting that I should read yours. I made it very clear that I don't have a personal interest in this roster set at all. As far as rosters go, I'm completely content with what I have. This thread piqued my interest, because I wanted to possibly test a re-rated roster set with my sliders. Unfortunately, in reading through the thread, I was regretfully subjected to your nonsensical ranting. In order to have a "clear bias", I would've needed to have a predisposed opinion of Redsfan or you, neither of whom I've had any interaction with in these forums until today.

So, if there's anybody that's off-base here, it's you. Your definition of being "civil", I can only assume is different than pretty much everybody on the face of the planet with any semblance of a functional brain. Your sense of entitlement, and your judgment-filled, condescending assessment of others in this thread and the "god damned human race" is ridiculous, and borderline egomaniacal. Instead of worrying about others who you perceive to be "young and stupid", perhaps you should take a long look in the mirror (or your web camera), if you have enough time away from "putting people in their places" on the INTERNET. Haha.

Yeah you're right. Getting upset and lashing out at people would be a much better response. Thankfully I haven't lost any respect for Willard and WTNY, it just seems their "lackeys" I don't even know what to call them that are hijacking this thread. They are attempting to besmirch my roster file but I care not. I'm honestly amused they keep posting. Just one of those people that has to get the last word. As I've said again, enjoy the roster those of you that are using it. Seems to be quite a few judging by the number of downloads

The spreadsheet was an awesome resource, but I did make my own tweaks. So saying I plagarized is INCORRECT. None of the lackeys have acknowledged this. They just assume my roster is a rip off. Even if it was a rip off it shouldn't matter to anyone, we're supposed to be a community here and sharing rosters is just part of what we do. I thought that was true anyway.

Tough guy decided to quote me and call me out, so I responded. I think the fact getting lost in all of this is that, regardless where you stand on the issue of the file name, redsfan4life released an excellent roster. Thank you for this.
