SBFM(os) roster discussion

Note: there will be no ETA on the final roster release date.

Thanks to all of the guys who worked on osfm to bring a great base this year to work with.

This year ils(ratings guru) and myself will be making the next edition of simulation baseball full minors.


what does this roster include
-Roster re-rates for major leagues and minor leagues based on stats with our formulas. Typically we use steamers projections. For now I don't think these will be used with it being way too early to project a full season of play.

- facial modifications of the minor leagues starting with b potential and above for all teams.

- equipment edits

- potential ratings based off of baseball Americas prospect handbook and other scouting reports.

- (potentially will be adding some prospects. This will be later on in the roster making if a big prospect that isn't added in moves up the minors he will be implemented)

- updated defensive ratings and speed.

The goal is to bring the immersion of the lifelike players. With ratings that bring them alive. As always we try to make sure the simulation engine works as accurate as possible with the rosters.

ILS is currently working hard on getting the ratings plugged in. Im working on facial edits for the minors and some major league guys who weren't facial scanned.

Ils is updating his ratings as he goes on the other thread.. Update
Ratings for nl west and central are complete

Faces for NL west and central are complete for b and above potential prospects. Boston and Baltimore also complete

Are you guys working from the latest SCEA roster update (4/13) and then importing the OSFM minor leaguers onto it? Just curious about this because the update fixed a lot of things, including a ton of height and weight corrections for major leaguers...

We aren't but I'm sure we can import the updated fixes and rerate those guys.

SBFM(os) roster discussion

Another update.
Ils is working on the nl east ratings.

I started on the nl east faces and am nearly complete with the al east faces.

Should be close to finishing up facial touch ups by the time I head to work. Things are moving smoothly on both ends here.

Some prospects are being added to teams as well. We are catching some top prospects missing from organizations.

Just a heads up, use the next roster update to do that then instead of the 4/13 update. Apparently SCEA accidently removed some players from the update and some additional secondary position updates may be included...

AL east b potential and above prospects facial updates completed.

If anyone has a prospect that isn't a b potential or above that needs work feel free to post them and I will work on them as well. Eventually I will get them all updated but for version 1 I might not get that far.

10 teams left to go on facial updates then I will start working on equip edits for teams. Once I am done with them i will go back and update the rest of the minors faces. Im aiming to get the equip edits in version 1 this is my first year doing them as last year we had a lot of help with them being implemented so we will see how smoothly it goes.

Awesome thanks for the offer. Once I get to that point I will hit ya up. Ils and I have been switching on and off not sure how hard he is gonna be hitting the ratings. I'll get in touch with him and see what's up.

Sorry I have had no updates I was on my 48 hr shift I haven't heard from ils but it looks like he's still workin on ratings. I will continue on with the facial mods when I get the roster back. And yeah Rovert you're always welcome to help brother.
