qq: What is the benefit of the 40 man over the 25 when it comes to a standard franchise? Shouldn't the AI know to call players from Single A and manage their respective teams / systems?


How accurate is the 40 man? Does it matter?


Just curious about the true value if anyone has a quick answer.

Well I tried and see if after spring training they will do it and they didnt do anything, but anyways just go to roster control and add the top players to MLB, the obvious starters and then start the mode and i think during the season theyll add 40-man with the DL's etc...

Hi All just wanted to let everyone know that I uploaded a roster to the vault, which I think is best for Franchise mode. Its called OSFM HYBRID and my tag is jrocked528. Its a mash up to date of what I think are the best most accurate ratings for all prospects plus SCEA ratings of MLB players to date. Draft class is also included. AND ITS 40 MAN! Its essentially a mash up of IrishSalsa's OSFM 2.1 w pitch edits plus Weekly Update 3 by Ridin and the original OSFM by Ridin. Thank you Ridin, Willard, and IrishSalsa for the help in all this. I hope everyone is alright with the name, considering Willards roster is now called Revision. Credit where credit is due. Hope you all like it and please let me know if I am missing anything ANYTHING. I also added Kaminsky to the Cardinals cause I know he was missing. Thanks all and enjoy!

I will be providing more updates, more so if people catch errors and they let me know. In fact, I just released a more updated roster cause there were still some minor leaguers caught in free agency. I just reassigned them to their respective teams, at least the really good ones. I also just fixed up the Yankees roster and Pirates roster since they were missing key people and quite frankly Austin Meadows is not a 49 overall.

i checked top 100 prospects and there is these players that are missing:

3B- Rafael Devers with Boston Red Sox
rhP- Touki Toussaint with Arizona Diamondbacks
SS- Ozhaino Albies with Atlanta Braves
2B- Forrest Wall with Colorado Rockies
rhP- Duane Underwood with Chicago Cubs

Thanks for the info. Would you happen to know a roster with those missing players? If so, I would just export those players and put them in. Wont be back however till after the weekend. If someone wants to take over and edit the roster feel free. The best thing to do for importing missing players is too replace the worst a ball players on teams to make room

The*Braves*have acquired right-handed pitchers Bronson Arroyo and Touki Toussaint from the Diamondbacks in exchange for infielder Philip Gosselin.

I don't get this trade. Bronson is having TJ. Is this more about getting a prospect?

Yes, the trade was purely for the prospect. The Braves basically gave the Diamondbacks $10 million for Toussaint.

Ok. How the heck do we move Bronson Arroyo to the Braves after we've already started our franchise? That contract looks to be unmovable.
