I finally finished up my 2nd fictional roster, but this time off of the base released by creator2700. Changes I made from his roster include: equipment edits, rating edits, player edits, salaries based on the real life team, and removing players with service time off of team rosters (be aware of them floating around free agency).

I feel the need to say sorry to those whose works I may have changed or completely worked over. If it is a problem, there's nothing that says you can't change it back.

Also I recommend not using fantasy draft due to the dedicated work I put in for each team, buuut if you must, be aware of oddities in equipment and salaries.

Play of the roster:

It seems as though the teams to beat are the Blue Jays and Dodgers in their respective leagues, but most teams have proven to be contenders. With realistic salaries, teams like the Dodgers, Angels, and Yankees all with be tied down with committed contracts, while others have a little more wiggle room to wheel and deal. With the right sliders, this roster with play at a statistical pace similar to even this year in real life MLB.

Yep, only fictional characters are featured on this roster.

So far I've played through 1 season and Colorado became the surprise World Series winner! Easily the best performance of the season belongs to the Atlanta Braves who finished 103-59, but struggled in the NLDS.

Both conference MVP's went to starting pitchers (LAA Blair Hodges, SD Angel Tejada), who of course would also win ROY and Cy Young. Another oddity is that the batting title went to catchers for both conferences (HOU Carlos Prado, PIT Shmuel Molloy).

I have been playing around with these and Molley the Pitt catcher looks very good. I was thinking of starting a franchise with either Colorado or the Pirates. Looking for a bad old team to try and rebuild. Was also thinking maybe Miami.

I have been thinking about a PS4. Would these rosters work on the 2016 or 2015 versions of the game?

I will be coming out with a brand new and improved roster for MLB The Show 17...more to come very soon. Most of the work has been done but I will need to transfer the players into the new game once it is released

Wondering if you are making a new one for the 2017 game? I have been using your rosters on 2016 and loving them. Was wondering if I should buy the new game.

Yes, I am currently working on the newest version of my roster. It is totally revamped and I personally believe it's gonna be some of the best work this forum has ever seen. Unfortunately, because of the expanded create-a-player section, I will have to go back and edit ever. single. player for the second time.

What I can do though, is go back into MLB The Show 16 and upload the finished product so that you can personally transport it into the new game. If there is a high enough interest, I'm more than willing to do so.

In regards to the completion of the current roster, I'm not quite sure when I will be able to finish it. The process will take some time, but expect to have the roster before the start of summer

I really had fun playing with the Red Sox last year. I won two World Series (2015, 2016) on MLB 16. I'm still playing with this team in Franchise mode on MLB 17. Looking forward to play with your new roster.

What is your criteria for ratings arcade or simulation style?
Fat guys stealing 100 bases, pencil neck second basemen hitting 74 homers or realistic numbers with a good distribution of quality and ok players around the roster...Parity


Will this be a 25, 40, or 90 man roster set for '17?

Yes please upload the older rosters as well. And no rush with the new ones summer is fine. Still loving last years version playing with the Braves now. Looking forward to the summer and the new version as well will buy the 2017 game when it comes out. Thanks again for all the hard work!!!

When it comes to attributes, I tried to make them as real as possible. For example, no catchers are gonna steal more than 1 or 2 bags, if any. There are gonna be lefty batters who are RHP specialists with extreme pull rates. 90% of the middle infielders won't have significant power...of course there are exceptions. My point of focus was to create the most realistic "fictional" roster I could, almost as if you were watching a game today.

Also, these rosters are COMPLETELY fictional. That means each team will feature 90 fictional beings. Some will have likeness to a real life counterpart but my goal was to differentiate them enough to where it was difficult to tell.

I will upload the 2016 version either tonight or tomorrow...I will give notice once it is done.

I have uploaded the 2016 version of the roster for use in both MLB The Show 16 & 17. This is a taste of what you can expect from this years' roster. Enjoy!
