40-Man Roster available in the vault thanks to mattmonteith. OS Optimal 40-Man, Date: 9/14/15.
This roster set uses RidinDwnKingsley’s ‘OSFM Weekly Update #5’ as its base and has most top players off the disabled list and on the major league roster. All transactions and MLB, AAA, AA rosters, lineups and pitching rotations are up-to-date.
ALL players are up to date with SCEA’s latest ratings from their weekly live roster updates. Over half of SCEA players were affected in their recent massive update.
- All MLB and MiLB Transactions are up-to-date
- Correct MLB Player Jersey Numbers
- Most players off of the Disabled List such as Stanton, Darvish, Wainwright, Holliday for optimal rosters. Unless there is a solid replacement such as Dodgers Wood/Latos for Ryu/McCarthy
- AAA and AA rosters overhauled and updated. You won’t see any Single A or A+ players on AAA/AA teams
- Minor league closers updated so each team has 3 closers
- Many released players who were missed in OSFM released
- 2015 Draft 1st Round Prospects included
- 'Top 50' icon next to all Top 50 Prospects from MLB.com’s preseason list
- Retired Players and some released MiLB Free Agents removed
- Many Player Additions (Credit to some of the fellow OS roster makers - Ridin, MoTown, Willard76, WaitTilNextYear to name a few)
- Many position changes where necessary
- All player ratings (Including Potentials) updated via SCEA's latest live roster update (8/24). Over half of SCEA players affected in recent massive update
- SCEA Weekly Update Added Players included except for a few due to some having generic faces
- More Equipment edits across the league (All MLB players involved in a trade updated for their new team. Cubs, Reds, Cardinals, and Rays full 25 man roster recently updated)
- Starting Pitchers Batting Stances updated from MLB 15: Pitcher Stance Project thread – No more Generic Stance 1for the majority of SP’s
- Pitching rotations based on the team’s Opening Day rotation order
- Each team has at least one extra player in Free Agents 3 to replace any future traded or released players if you use CPU Roster Control
- 25 Man Rosters so they are Franchise ready

Note: I wanted to think of a name for this roster because in the previous years I would just name it something like OSFM V2 Update and the date, but didn't want to confuse it with Ridin releasing "Weekly" updates this year. So as I said above I decided on Optimal Roster Update because I think it's one of the only rosters that includes players off the DL instead of in Single-A to make for that team's "optimal" roster with no big injuries.
