I just uploaded the Accurate Roster v1.0 into the vault after 7 straight hours of work. I used Jros22's roster as the base and made many tweaks/modifications especially using players from the the SBFM Roster.
This Roster in my view is the most accurate in terms of ages and prospect ratings.
I wouldn't have created this roster, but seeing the wrong ages on rosters claiming to be the most accurate motivated me to do this for other people.
Here is a rundown of what I did
1. Replaced the Rafael Devers on the Red Sox who had apparent MLB stats.
2. Fixed the age on countless prospects and rookies such as Henry Owens who is 23 and not 21, or Blake Swihart who is 23 and not 22. This was a grueling task to do for all teams.
3. I cross referenced stats from minorleagueball.com and MLB's top prospect list and stats pages for individual players to determine prospect rerates. This means no more Austin Meadows at 49 overall for example.
4. I used the cross referencing to substitute prospects from the SBFM roster or made my own tweaks based on current minor league stats and simulations
The only problem I encountered was with some current major leaguers and not being able to correct their age, although this was minor since birthdays were not until late April for example. I tried to use July 20's as a cutoff.
Another problem is that this is not a true 40man roster, but its also not 25. I am hoping starting a franchise will automatically adjust these the correct way but if anyone wants to convert this to a 40 man it would be greatly appreciated. I just wanted to get this out to the public before I go to sleep as I know how desperately a roster like this is needed in the community.
Again, thank you Jros22 and the SBFM creator for the rosters I could base my own roster on. The stances/pitching styles that Jros22 uses, such as for Severino are amazing.
Enjoy and please feel free to leave any suggestions. Maybe I will release newer versions.
