does the OSFM rosters change some of the potentials or ratings of some of the rookies that played last yr that made it into the game just seems some of the potentials are a little harsh for some of the rookies (not named lindor correa bryant etc) that had solid seasons even if it wasnt a full one

Nope...they don't change anything related to the SCEA players.

Ya I figured that. I would assume they would have mentioned that they were live, if it was these guys.

Theyre not awful though. At least somewhat usable until the real deal comes out. But youre right a few key names missing and definitely alot of issues with the player models. You can only do so much but some of them are pretty far off.

They were just good enough to prompt me to ask. If they were garbage, then I wouldnt have bother asking.

Don't blame you for asking and you're right, they aren't bad but I know the standard these guys have set. So when I see some names I know they wouldn't overlook missing, I know they are not the OSFM actual ones. I would say waiting on the official release is well worth the wait. I've helped them in the past with data on minor leaguers (never helped with the actual editing though) and I can tell you the amount of work they put into this is second to none. These guys are the best without a doubt.

While everyone can't wait to get these to start their franchises, I can't wait to get these to start my overhaul of the ratings system. I'll upload them once I'm done for anyone who may be interested but I first need the perfection these guys create.

This is one of my biggest pet peaves. They don't use projected ratings for most rookies. So if a guy who's projected to be a solid major leaguer gets a callup and gets 20 at bats in September, the base his ratings off that ridiculously small sample size. This drives me nuts every year, the SCEA created rookies that OSFM doesn't edit just don't seem to fit with the rest of the OSFM ratings. There are players that are higher on the organizational depth chart that are rated way lower than OSFM created players, because SCEA just don't use projections like ZIPS; at least it doesn't seem like they do.

I really, really, wish the Show could just hire the folks at OOTP to make their rosters! Having played that game for the past two weeks, they absolutely nail minor league ratings. I also don't know how OOTP gets away with having full real minor league rosters, but console baseball games still can't get the liscense to have them in.

I can not wait for these awesome rosters to come out but while I am waiting for these & the hybrid to drop I will be spending my time on the awesome diamond dynasty, I bought the digital deluxe edition with all the extra packs and fired it up for the first time today and I am loving it, keep up the great works guys and these rosters will make the game even better

I don't think ootp is big enough for them to Sue yet.lol the players association is probably waiting till they have more money.

God I hope this isn't the case. I like to think there is some legal way to get real minor leaguers in a game from a liscensing standpoint, because I would LOVE for the show to someday get real minor league rosters with zips projection ratings (big, big, big dream there, and probably would never ever happen). I assumed OOTP gets away with it because it was name only, since OOTP doesn't use images of players (they have facegen for MLB players, but not those in the minors). So they aren't using the "likeness" of the player, just using the name, which is probably legal and how they get away with it.

You may like to think that, but that's not reality. There is no minor league players union, and I don't even know if minor leaguers can be negotiated with individually to put them in the game. It wouldn't be cost-effective for SCEA to do that even if it was possible.

Regardless, using a player's likeness without their permission, union or not, is just going to go down the same rabbit hole that Madden went down.

I have read thru most of the posts over the last 2 daya and have been checking in non stop. I see v1 was released 4/12 last yr. Can someone who may have an idea tell me, are qe talkin days or weeks?

I know a lot of people have been douchey about people asking, and a lot of people have been super douchey. Can someone please just clarify an educated ETA without being an ******* about it?

No you don't need ps plus to access the roster vault it's only required for online gaming

Well, you know, when its been said MULTIPLE times to stop, at this point, its been said there will be warnings and bans but guys to be ignore the warning, and MULTIPLE threads are closed daily saying to stop, it gets old.

They do not know when they will be released, they will continue to work and whey are posted as released, that's when they come out and as good of an answer as you will get. Not being mean, just being honest.
