Can I make a request regarding the draft prospects? Or at least point something out, last year boomersooner and I recreated his 2015 draft prospects over an exported 2015 first round draft prospect from a franchise just so that the roster foundation is 100% accurate, didn't know if this was a trend that could be included in this years OSFM, or in the draft prospect OSFM version

Just a basic question: Is this being put out in waves? For instance, I'm assuming the roster won't be ready when the game comes out (I'm assuming the transfer from 15-16 is relatively simple?) but will there be a file ready? I am less worried about everyone's face and batting stance, as I am all the prospects on the game. Just wondered what the ETA was. AKA- How much time am I going to have to waste in order to start my franchise with all the prospects? I read the thread and didn't see anything. Also, I'm certainly not trying to be a jerk, I really, really, REALLY appreciate everyone's work on this! The Show would just not be the same w/ no prospects.

My advice for everyone that is curious about this is to fire up MLB the Show 15, start a franchise with computer roster control on, export players from your franchise, and then import them into another roster outside of franchise. Then you'll get a sense as to how time consuming and soul sucking this process can be. And what better time for you to test this out then now, during down time, while you await the release of MLB the Show 16.

Yes, it doesn't take nearly as long as a couple years back when hundreds of players had to be recreated each season and the roster took over a month to be released. Still, it's not a simple process and a lot goes into it. You need to be wary of exporting over a SCEA player (who you don't get back). Not to mention ht/wt changes from year to year, equipment updates, player appearance changes, etc. Usually there are minor errors (ht/wt, positions) in the SCEA base roster that need addressing in an update before the importing can begin. And this doesn't account for any new editing features that change from year to year that need to be corrected (skin color, beards, or any other changes to the color palette).

I can attest to this. Been working on a roster for 16 since October. Still a work in progress daily just due to transactions and other factors.

cant wait for these. I'm a die hard braves fan that has been using your rosters for 4 years now and I look forward to them every year but this year with the braves farm system is probably going to be the most fun yet. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know and thank you guys so much for the hard work and dedication to the love of the game.

For players with Generic Gear (For example: New Balance Cleats), are these rosters still going to give them branded equipment just so that it isn't generic?

I'd much rather see players with generic gear instead of giving them branded gear just because. I feel its weird when a lot of guys have Mizuno cleats just because they wear New Balance in real life.

Generic 1 cleats will be New Balance my man.
Adidas will be Generic 2

Players that don't have gear in the game will have generic gear. We will get it as close as possible to real life. If people don't like it they can change it themselves after release.

Guys......For those of you working on a specific team......If you can send Ridin' and Willard PM's as you upload a team update into the Vault...so they can grab it and import it now....and continue to do that as you get it further updated.....SPECIFICALLY telling them what you have updated and want to be imported....it will make life easier as we approach time to re-import into '16.

What I'm saying is.....don't wait until the end to send Willard and Ridin' your set....
If you have players completed that you want in...send him the WIP roster(upload it actually) and send him a PM with the XX number of players.
You can continue to work on it...but as you continue with finishing players...you would upload and send them another notification with the new batch completed.
This way he doesn't have 1000 player to export/import all at once to the master file and then have to do it again right after that when he does the importing into '16.

Okay, my understanding from the beginning of this thread was that Willard and Ridin had been working on the rosters and getting it ready to transfer over to '16. So we're not duplicating work by creating/updating players for individual teams?

Well...they have been and you might be.
I guess the best thing is to PM or better yet...post here what 90(+) players you want in your organization and then they can tell you if they need a certain player(s) in order to fill that.

I'm just trying to cover bases early here instead of a mad rush to get players at the end.....which has happened in the past with some teams.
