Can I port a roster from last years game to this years game?
Last year I created a team with all my friends on it. I don't want to go through the effort of doing that again, is there a way to port the roster from last years game to this years? If so, how do I do that? Thanks.Uncle Ray Ray wants to Play!!Tags: None -
Re: Can I port a roster from last years game to this years game?
Im no expert, but because the OSFM guys are busy I will take a stab at it. There is no direct way to do this as far as I know but there is a "workaround" so to speak.
1. Start a franchise with the rosters you want in MLB 15
2. Carryover the franchise in to MLB 16
3. On the roster screen of your franchise select the created player and choose the export option which will allow you to save this player
4. On a new roster (not inside franchise mode) import these players overtop of players you don't care about.
I believe this is how it is being done. I have never done it myself. If I am wrong or there is a quicker way someone please correct me. -

Thanks for the help man, but there's no option to export a player within the franchise mode. After you said what to do, I got happy and was like that will totally work. And for some reason you can't export players in franchise mode. Dang.Uncle Ray Ray wants to Play!!Comment

Re: Can I port a roster from last years game to this years game?
1) Create & Save a Season/Franchise in MLB15 making sure you turn "CPU Roster Control" ON during the creation process.
2) In MLB16 Start a Season/Franchise and select the "continue from MLB15" option.
3) Move over to the CPU Roster Control section of the MLB16 Season/Franchise
4) EXPORT each individual player you want (limited to 25).
5) Exit Season/Franchise Mode.
6) Load a Roster file you would like to import this player(s) into.
7) Go to Roster Control and IMPORT selected Player(s) into that roster.
Most people ignore the absolute need to have "CPU Roster Control" turned on prior to creating a Season/Franchise in MLB15 with the Roster you want to Import from.
And each individual player has to be Exported and then Imported individually once in MLB16.
Hope this helpsComment

Re: Can I port a roster from last years game to this years game?
So if I already got rid of my copy of 15 there's nothing I could do? I just downloaded my save file from last year and I guess I had CPU roster control off. I tried turning it on in 16, but it didn't do anything. Poop.Uncle Ray Ray wants to Play!!Comment

Re: Can I port a roster from last years game to this years game?
I see dudes selling their copy of 15 on eBay for like 4 bucks. I'll just get one of those and turn CPU roster control on and do it that way. Definitely better than creating 25 people all over again. Thanks everyone.Uncle Ray Ray wants to Play!!Comment
