Re-signing players while under contract?

I'll erase this thread once someone answers my question. Don't want to clog up the forum with a non-debatable type thread.

Can you re-sign a player while still under contract in the offseason? I haven't got to an offseason yet as Im playing every game. Im biding time until the OSFM rosters come out. Thanks in advance by the way for those beauties!

I know you can't do it during the season. But because morale is impacted by contract I was hoping you can re-sign a guy before his contract expires. I could probably just sim a mock season and find out but was hoping someone knew off-hand. Thanks.

EDIT: Am I able to delete the thread? I was just trying to in order to move it to the appropriate place, as opposed to, under the Rosters section. Any help would be appreciated. Somewhat new to posting here.

No, you cannot extend players.

A mod will come along and lock/delete the thread at some point.

Thanks for the feedback. That kinda sucks, morale is affected significantly it would seem because of contract status so it would seem like an oversight to not be able to restructure a contract in the offseason, at least.

Overall I am happy with the morale twist added this year. Its better with it then it was without it. But hopefully theyll continue to improve the smaller details.
