    Contracts?

    What would happen in franchise mode if I corrected all contracts and then started my franchise with the corrected salaries? How would franchise mode be affected? Would teams cap limits increase or would some teams be screwed? Also, how does SCEA come up with these salaries, is there a formula or do they just put what they want? I would really like more accurate salaries and I'm willing to put in the work just need to know how to do it and if it's worth my time because I want to play franchise.

    I've played with real contract rosters before and I found the best thing to do was turn budgets off. Teams generally still stick to them but if you don't turn it off then some really odd trades start happening and no teams ever sign free agents

      I edited the pirates contracts to to real life as an experiment and started a franchise and and they had over $10 million in cap space. I'm guessing it would still work with budgets on and it adjusts to allow some space.

        I'm working on a roster with all correct contracts and birth places based off Milleniums upload with 40 man rosters. If anyone wants it I can give it to someone to upload or upload myself. I have about 10 teams done as of last night. I also replaced all caps with their SCEA counterpart, if available.... I'm hoping to be done today or tomorrow. I noticed some teams are much worse than others as far as birthplaces are concerned...

          OSFM V2 will have all updated birthplaces. Big problem using real contracts in franchise mode however. It affects trade logic. Gives teams huge budget room in subsequent seasons when high priced guys come off and since team budget is higher to start the 15% increase is an additional increase to budgets.

          Salaries do not escalate by the cpu signing. Can really ruin the whole thing.
