Honestly? It came off a bit as a troll comment.

Sarcasm, trolling and soap boxing can come off very similar when there's a lot of different information floating around. The thread was started because 1)it's still common for career modes to devolve over time in games 2) people on the board are saying it (legitimately or not) 3) the search function on this forum is pretty much useless and it's extremely difficult to find good info.

It's a common issue in career sports games and nowhere is it legitimately addressed except by those who are defending their own rosters. It's a valid post.

But now since this post was here and there doesn't seem to be much debate (if any) there seems to be an answer and the thread will float away into obscurity.

So, in that regard, and all the other positives that OSFM brings, there is just no way one could conclude OSFM makes multi-years in franchise unplayable.
Dale over Richard Petty? I don't know.....

What happens at the end of franchise year one with these rosters? Are contracts correct? Will users have to sign each of the minor league players to contracts?

I know these rosters aren't a right or anything. It's a community effort of likeminded fans every year and it's incredible. Hoping to use the rosters to start a franchise soon, just like most members here, I'm just a bit confused with the abundance of threads and issues. If someone who knows could take a moment to break it down I'd appreciate it.

        Thanks.
For one, you really need to define what "unplayable" means to you for anyone to even take a stab at answering this.

Secondly, experiment. Toy around with it. In the 3 days you wait for a decent answer (if you ever get one) you can simulate ahead and find out the answers to most of these questions for yourself. Yeah, isn't that what this message board is for, you ask? So that you don't have to? Sometimes. But, sometimes there's no (clear) answer and it becomes a DIY project.

        My 2 cents anyway.

I've had multiple franchises in the past that ran 3+ seasons and I had no issues with anything related to contracts from the OSFM rosters. I'm in my first season in this year's game, so I can't say about the current ones, but I don't expect it to be any different.
