Stat glitch - what affect in franchise?

I know a number of folks have mentioned the "Stat Glitch," especially in terms of recent rosters, but could someone explain the exact way in which the glitch affects a franchise?

I, having some OCD myself, understand that any glitch is unwanted but is it a big concern with gameplay or franchise progression and if so, why? For example:

1. Is it a huge problem in just one season in franchise or is it predominately because it messes up the multi-seasons stats?
2. In what ways will it or does it mess up every day game play?
3. Is it a problem for announcers giving wrong play by play? i.e., "that is his X home run of his career" when it isn't true?

One last question. Can it be fixed by anyone other than SCEA?

1) No its a career stats issue so its going to be there for as long as you play your franchise, unless of course it can be patched.

2) Doesn't mess up every day game play at all.

3) That could happen. You could have a guy hit his 100th homerun when in actuality its only his 5th or something of that sort.

The only person that can fix it is SCEA. However, I believe the roster that Ridin is working on is free of the career stats glitch.

The only real effect that I could see if having is guys entering the Hall of Fame. But I obviously do not know that for sure. Other than that, its mostly an eyesore.

Thanks so much! For me, #3 is worth waiting for OSFM v.2. I would not want a player hitting a milestone based on faulty career stats.
