    Hybrid and simulation stats

So I have been using the Hybrid roster and I decided to simulate a franchise. I've used the Blue Jays 5 times, 5 years each time. I have noticed that each time Bautista, Donaldson and Encarnacion are playing well under their rl counterparts. The most any of them have hit for home runs is 29 and their averages are pretty much fine but everything else is also low. Using the Jays as a reference I am seeing some pretty odd numbers in other simulated stats also.

Pitching is all over the place. Complete games are sky high. Many guys with 11. Strike outs are borderline low as are walks. Shutouts are high and era's are low. Most other stats are pretty ok. However Kershaw has not once lead the league in wins or K's or era, yet Aaron Sanchez was second in K's. Which is kinda crazy. Huge Jays fan here, but let's be honest...Sanchez is pretty average with some flashes of good potential.

Hitting is really odd. Averages are a tad low, but not terrible. RBI is low across the board. Triples are high, doubles are low as are homers and everything else is just kinda weird, but again, not horrible.

Stolen bases are pretty on point except 1 year Revere snagged 69. Possible, I suppose, but eeek.

I can't see how the Jays core 3 guys should be hitting that terribly, and yes I realize that they aren't great this year and they are only getting older, but Donaldson should probably hit more than 25 home runs on average. Edwin only hit over 20 once.

Is this possibly a slider issue? I know the work put into these rosters and I appreciate it and I know a huge amount of us OS guys use them so I am nearly certain that either I can't be the only guy seeing this in simulation, or that sliders are the culprit.

    Re: Hybrid and simulation stats

You probably haven't set the SP Stamina, RP Stamina, Manager Hook, and Injury sliders as I mentioned 3 or 4 times in the Hybrid thread. They play an important role. You should have...

    SP STAM = 1
    RP STAM =6
    Manager Hook = 5
    Injuries = 8

Also, I would appreciate you presenting your data rather than just saying everything is low or high. Nobody has a sense of how low or high if you don't. Also, it may be a good idea to remind yourself what numbers you are comparing these to--a lot of the time, people are trying to get 'good sim stats', they rag on this roster, but it comes to light that they don't even know what real life stats are supposed to look like.

As someone who both designed the ratings that went into this roster set and who has tested it way more than anyone else (and has actually shown data...a lot of data in our past threads), I can simply say I don't observe what you do. CGs/SHO will be a bit high no matter what, but other stats are fine (Donaldson hits more than 25 HRs, I've seen him go off for 46...Kershaw usually leads in everything) so again I am not sure what's going on over on your end.

In case you suspect bias, it's been mentioned by at least 2 or 3 other people that they're getting very accurate sim stats.

EDIT: Here are a couple of posts I made some weeks ago that show some data

    League Stats

    Individual Batting

    Individual Pitching

I don't suspect bias. It's implied. You helped with the roster.

I'm not crapping on this roster at all. I appreciate it a lot. I'll thank you personally again and I genuinely mean it. I'm not taking underhanded shots, I'm not implying, intimating or infering anything of the sort. I'm not passive aggressive in any way. I did ask about sliders...you kinda mentioned sliders, so yeah.

I apologize for not seeing the post in the other thread about your slider suggestions.

      Thanks again, sir.

I think whether your intentions are good or not, when you make a whole new thread to basically say 'this roster/ratings isn't/aren't playing like it/they should', you can expect a certain response, bordering on defensive, from the guy who designed and tested it and knows it works, lol. Hopefully adjusting those sliders will get you closer to where you want to be.

All good, my man. I understand. I'm going to make the suggested slider adjustments. Appreciate all your efforts.
