Pitcher velocity
What's the trick to turning it up? I.E. Edwin Diaz on the Mariners. Even if you turn the velocity on his FB all the way up to 99 he only tops out at 94mph. When in reality he's between 98-101. Help?NFL: Seattle Seahawks

Re: Pitcher velocity
Here is an exchange between me and another OS'er who was having this same issue. This should help.
Glad to hear that. Sounds like you ran into what we pitch edit people call the "pitch edit glitch." Basically the velocities for fully editable created-players (non-SCEA players) depend on the velocities of all the other pitches. It's totally weird and nearly impossible to explain without making a video (no, I'm not making a video! lol) or something, but it's been that way for as long as I've been editing pitches.
In short, you need to experiment with the velocities of the other pitches as well as the fastball. You will notice that the fastball velocity range is dynamic--the min/max velocity will change based on the speeds of the other pitches in the repertoire. I still really have no idea why it was designed this way, but it's been like this for years.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan Wolverines -
