Re: Missing Players in MLB 17
That doesn't mean anything though, one year I seen Dylan Bundy not in the game when he had pitched a couple of innings the year before, also Pretty Sure for some reason John Schoope was missing from the game after only a few at bats one year.
Anyway if someone said he was in a video then he must be in the game which is goodComment

Once you play in the minors after coming off the DL or on rehab assignments and you don't get called back up you lose your status.Comment

Re: Missing Players in MLB 17
Bundy was on the DL for a few seasons then came off the DL and pitched in the minor leagues without getting called up. Thus, he lost his MLBPA status and that was why he wasn't in the game that year.

Re: Missing Players in MLB 17
Since you wanted to use Dylan Bundy. He spent the entire 2013 season on the DL and about half of the 2014 season before playing in the minors at the end of 2014 and into 2015. He started 19 games in the minors between 2014-2015. That's why he wasn't in 16 or 15 (He was a CAP).
Click on show minors stats tab.

Re: Missing Players in MLB 17
Ok gotcha,
Josh Hamilton, players like that that go missing in the game is frustrating when you got a old vet missing from the game and having to then hear the robot commentary of Josh (pause) Hamilton, I doubt he may play a game with the rangers this year anyway though.
I can't remember if Nick Swisher played last year, but he might be missing from the Yankees another player like Josh Hamilton.Comment

Waste of time creating Josh Hamilton for the Rangers.Unless you can create a one legged version. In my opinion you will never see him play Baseball again.Comment

I tend to agree. I'm sure Rangers fans would rather have another young prospect in the set instead of Hamilton.Comment

Re: Missing Players in MLB 17
I understand why players who have never played at the MLB level are not in the game, but I do not understand why players who were previously in the game but who miss a season due to injury but are expected to return are turfed from the game. Okay perhaps "expected to return" is a loaded word for some players. Greg Holland as an example. He was in MLB 16 and yes he missed the entire 2016 real world season recovering from his Tommy John surgery. But even though he has yet to see any 2017 Spring Training game time, he is there training with the club and it sounds like he will have a good shot at still making the opening day roster. But he won't be in the game? Why can't the game makers monitor Spring Training and do an release day roster update for these sorts of players who were previously already in the game and are expected to make the various 25-man squads.Comment
