A little disappointing from that video, it looks like Blake Swihart and Henry Owens didn't get any touch ups to their face. Still two pretty poor faces

Cool but the problem is it still won't have correct service time (so player comes up as rookie) and I am guessing the audio name still won't work right

It works if you edit a player. You can always find an SCEA guy that has service time accumulated to avoid the Rookie tag.

so if we exported Wheeler (which will turn into a generic player and generic name) into our roster, then edit his name correctly and redo his face it would show his player card? and then would it have his commentary audio>? or still the robot one or 'number'

Do they have a portrait too or just a a card?

Portraits don't appear as much as the cards...so in the videos I've seen, I haven't seen any portraits.

edit: Totally didn't answer your question.

I haven't been able to test it, but I know from first hand experience last year if you edited a player's first name and last name to be their actual name and erased audio names then the broadcasters used their real names and they had "storylines" to them. I would imagine this is still the case unless someone with the game knows differently

It's simple, they did not get face scanned. They may have chosen not to, just as Todd Frazier still hasn't, as well as a select few more. The art team that does faces and all for all 30 teams only consists of 8 people. So they do a remarkable job given the parameters.

I thought if you left it blank the commentator would just say 'number 10' or whatever number someone is

Not in my experience. When I've done it with an SCEA player, they must recognize the code ID or something because they pick up on who the player is and their background

Ernesto Frieri for the yankees, looks like making the team, not sure if he was in mlb 16 or if he was no idea what team he was on, but might have to be transferred from 15 to 16 to 17 to get into the game

According to baseball reference he didn't pitch in the MLB last season.

Yeah I mention him because he isn't on the OP for this thread, and looks like hes gonna be on the 25 man team, but I don't know if he was in MLB 16 game last year, so may have to transfer him from MLB 15 to get him to 17
