Guys are spending hours upon hours creating this roster for us every year creating faces and researching players and their tendencies, stances, deliveries, pitches etc and you're complaining about hard work about adding 15 players from each team to a 40 man roster?

For real. And that's not nearly as hard work as setting rosters, lineup and pitching rotations for 30 teams after they mix up.

What is the criteria for MLB players being placed in Single A with the first release? Is it just the guys that have already been ruled out for the season?

It's usually anybody currently on the 10 day or 60 day DL.

10 day seems a little excessive since they'll probably be right back with the team really soon. 60 would be a lot better. I'll take what I get, tho, and be appreciative. Lol! Thanks, man.

Its because roster files don't have DL slots so if you want real 25 man you have to put them somewhere. It seems like they wanted more accurate AAA rosters so they didn't put them there.

One more question. If I've added walk-up/pitchers music in SOTS, it will FOR SURE transfer over to the OSFM rosters, right? It's the first year I've messed with the music and stuff.

In anticipation for tomorrow I was hoping to get some clarity on the steps to take to get the proper 40 man at the beginning of the regular season. Maybe this will help others who may be hazy as well.

1. Import roster
2. Control all 30 teams
3. sim spring training
4. Last day of spring training add the appropriate players to the 40 man based on the MLB depth charts or wherever.
5. Advance to regular season.
6. Day 10 manually adjust players coming off DL
7. Day 30 repeat
8 Day 60 repeat.

Then I will be all set? Please let me know if I am missing a step or if one is not necessary.

It should not. SOTS pulls music from your own system. So if they add it on their end, you still wouldn't have the music file on your own system or USB stick, so your game would have nothing to pull the music file from.

Add your 40 man players AFTER you advance to the regular season. Having it at 40 when you advance is what causes all the problems.

For SECA created players, yes. For CAPS no. You'd have to assign it again.

Add your 40 man players AFTER you advance to the regular season. Having it at 40 when you advance is what causes all the problems.

Are you able to relinquish control of the 29 teams you aren't playing as after you do this? I don't want to keep other teams from trading or doing their day to day business because I'm in control of them
