Extremely excited and Cautiously optimistic about this project. Many, well several, have tried to slay this dragon over the years, in various games, and sadly not one of them is still active here or making rosters at the moment. Baumy we don't want to lose you.

If it does pan out, I think we are playing some form of this project 4 or 5 years from now into the next console generation, thanks to year to year saves. Great foundation.

Thanks brotha. It is a fight, but I'm glad to know others will enjoy it too. Definitely excited for it to be over.

And of course I play Madden haha. I'll be looking for your project man. Did they change the CAP limit ever?

Appreciate it man, glad to hear that.

If so, as an Astros fan I'll be looking forward to 1998 with Biggio and Bagwell in the majors and some of my childhood favorites like Oswalt, Berkman, Lidge and Ensberg in the minors. Good luck dude.
Yup, all three years are getting a full functioning 25 man AAA team. And don't forget Oswalt haha. Plus the other years you have Abreu too.

Having 90 man rosters for this era of baseball will be something special. Being able to play a full on franchise (in franchise mode) or even just season mode with injuries will be awesome.
Thanks my man. It's actually going to be 50 man rosters, but it's still a big jump up from the 25. The other 40 would be all random anyway since some years are thin on MLB prospects/players.

But I agree. I can't wait to have injuries on and make call ups.

It will pan out. This is my last project man, so that's why I'm going all in with it. I'm prepared to play MLB 17 itself for another 20 years with this set and the others.

Hopefully I can get it done with soon and just play instead of work haha.

I'm not sure for 18, it wasn't changed for 17, but regardless im aiming for at least a full squad, if we cant get the actually roster size and proper edits, i'm hoping for at least correct skin tones/editable skin tones and equipment edits! this years madden really is a must buy, just on the standard of so much change! new stadiums for new teams, new uniforms, new game play engine, new mechanics in game play, i mean theres a lot going on in madden this year, so i hope it turns out good, so we all can enjoy it.

Oh man, this is awesome. I can't wait to play with my mid-90s Indians.

          Great idea man.

This might just be the dream...picking up a '98 expansion team and seeing what we can do with them. Just, wow!

I'm definitely pumped man, can't wait to see what you do. Tell me what year/teams you're thinking of when you know. New uniforms sound sick too.

Phil, what's up man. Yeah you're going to love those Cleveland teams, every year they have a lethal offense.

What about international prospects like Sasaki and Ichiro that were on the verge of coming over to the states?

Right now only players who were in the clubs minor league affiliations are in. Ichiro was playing in Japan until like 2000-2001 so putting him or others on a team during one of these years would simply be inaccurate.

Maybe they would work in the FA pool but I haven't looked into it/been overly concerned with that right now. It's a good idea though.

I prefer the free agents idea, that way they are able to be signed by any teams the same way they would have been at the time.

It's definitely intriguing and something I never thought of before.

If someone wants to make a list of the top 5-10 FA's from each year I'll give it a look.

Beta phase of Atl, still ways to go on most teams.

I'll release an update in a week or two for everyone. Rather than list everything off now I'll just save it until then. I've made a major breakthrough yesterday that is exactly what my sets were missing. I'll have longer to go but it's for the better.

Well we won 99 games with our 1996 Yankees

We are playing the Texas Rangers in the ALDS.

I will be streaming the entire post season!!! If the unthinkable happens and I get knocked out I will choose another team to continue on.

Unsigned free agents in general or just international talent?
