New Roster uploaded: OSFM v1.5 w/ 40 man, no injuries
Hey guys, I uploaded a version of OSFM v1.5 with no pre-existing injuries and 40 man rosters for every team. The 40 man rosters aren't exact but generally accurate. I made sure that all A and most B prospects were on the 40 man rosters since the game often lets these players become rule 5 picks and free agents after a few years. After that, I added the highest rated minor leaguers to the 40 man. it isn't 100% accurate but is definitely good enough for most people. It's in the vault with the username FUNGODAWG4. Feel free to tweak it how you you want.Tags: None -

Great, thanks. I tried doing this before I realized how time consuming it is. I'd much rather have the rosters set like this to begin my franchise, and let injuries happen naturally and lineups/rotations set by the CPU.

Thanks Ben!
And can you answer a question for me?
If a player is not on a teams 40 man roster and it is one of the CPU controlled teams in my season, will the CPU add a player to the 40 man roster if an injury happens and the next best player IS NOT on the 40 man roster?
Sorry for the run on sentence!Comment

Re: New Roster uploaded: OSFM v1.5 w/ 40 man, no injuries
Thanks D!
Could I trouble you with one more CPU control team question?
How about from season to season?
Does CPU automatically change 40 man roster based on trades, free agents, ect that affect the overall cpu controlled roster when you get to the 2018 season? Or do you have to go in and manually inspect and correct every team?
Am I making sense here? I am not sure I am conveying my thoughts correctly.Comment

I started a franchise with v1, and thought CPU will add to 40 man rosters. I forgot they don't. So one restart using this and I'm good.

Re: New Roster uploaded: OSFM v1.5 w/ 40 man, no injuries
Is there any way to get the CPU to construct the 40 man how it sees fit? When you start a franchise will the CPU ever move around anyone who's not on the 40 man? If not, that will make anyone not on the 40 man useless as they'll never be used. You can have someone rated in the 70s never be used because they're not on the 40 man and someone who's rated in the 50s is. SCEA really needs to have an option to have the CPU completely control their team independently. I tried putting over 25 men on a team and then auto fixing the roster, hoping they would reconstruct it, but it doesn't work. I have no other ideas.

Re: New Roster uploaded: OSFM v1.5 w/ 40 man, no injuries
Conversely, if you start a franchise with only 25 man rosters, and without 30 team control, and the CPU constructs the 40 man independently (I don't know if it will or not), is there a way to control trades/releases? What I'm getting at is I want the CPU to set the 40 man/lineups/rotations/injury management. The ONLY thing I want to control is transactions.

Re: New Roster uploaded: OSFM v1.5 w/ 40 man, no injuries
That's promising. That means if we could get the CPU to do their own 40 man to start the current season, nothing would need to be adjusted later on. I've literally spent all of the past 2 nights fiddling with things to try to get this to work. If you start a franchise with only 25 man rosters, does the CPU add the other 15? I didn't think to try that.
