Same here. I will add walkups for all the 25 man rosters based on names, ethnicity etc.

I am so jacked up to do that Oakland A’s franchise. I really love that team and have never played with a team in the A.L West.

It will be a great time learning the entire league all over again for 19.

What is so awesome for me about this roster is the subtle retro nods this roster has. Takes me back to the mid to late 1980’s.

Such a good idea to play in separate divisions or leagues when shifting to different rosters.

This way you get to experience the leagues from different angles and see different opponents than you have before. Big fan of this idea.

I am a die-hard Phillies fan and always play using that team. But I think I am going to use Baltimore for my new start for 19. I also like Cleveland and Kansas City. I am definitely picking a team in AL since I have always used the Phillies. The A's look interesting too, a lot of young upcoming stars.
I agree, it is going to be so fun learning the new teams / players and seeing them grow.

Love hearing this too!

In real life, my local Milwaukee Brewers are my favorite team but that's no longer the case for the fictional universe so I'm even playing around to see who my favorite squad is on here too.

This is correct and intentional. I've always felt the need to add a few retro looking players to even it out.

I have been working on a similar project and bringing over to 19 also. Have you noticed that when you sim service time in 19 it does not backdate like the rest of the series? Example:
2019
2018
2017
2016
etc.
Now:
2019
2019
2019
2019
Just wondering if you have seen this yet? It really screws up the look of the roster. Also when creating or editing equipment the bat just floats. It is not in the player's hand. I submitted both of these in the bug report on show nation.

Thanks for pointing this out...I haven't simmed service time in '19 and won't yet until I begin creating players later on in the baseball season so this won't effect the 2019 iteration of my roster but thank you for pointing this out. Hopefully, it gets patched.

As for the bat glitch, I personally don't care. It doesn't bug me enough and honestly I find it pretty funny. I was thinking it was only my game because I hadn't read anything about it before and I have unique players so I thought that could have something to do with it but ShowTyme confirmed that to be recently as well.

Also two big thumbs up for submitting them both as bugs to theshownation.com. Very beneficial to the long term health of the product.

Last post of the night...

Made lots of progress transferring players over. I am now done importing through the A's so the teams that are done are as follows:

All of the AL East
All of the AL Central
Angels, Athletics

I won't be able to do too much tomorrow but hopefully I can still set aside some time to complete the Mariners.

I’ve never used these rosters but want to try something different for 19.

If I start a Franchise in 2018 and carry it over to 2019, will I have any problems? I was planning to Sim 2018 and then carry over at the correct time to start 2019.

Will all the created players stay the same or will they all just get randomly generated by the game when I carry over? Anything else I should do or know?

Or should I just wait for the 2019 roster?

There is no problems with a carry over as far as i can tell but you might wanna wait until his 19 roster is done it will be 100 times better.

Hey! Glad to have you aboard for 2019!

I would wait for the new roster to be uploaded to the vault. It is overall just better work than what I had completed at the beginning of 2018 simply because there's more players I created within the league and I wouldn't use the roster I released about a week ago because that's a WIP roster that isn't exactly franchise ready.

There aren't any issues transferring over except for the stat glitch as mentioned in previous posts on this thread but that is obviously not "gamebreaking" by any stretch.

Update:

Finished importing over only one more team tonight so I'm now done through the Texas Rangers...just need the all the NL and the Houston Astros so we're roughly halfway there.

Absolutely love these rosters. I've had just as much fun playing around with the creation zone and looking at everyone's stances etc. as I have playing through different modes. I was just about to start importing players from last seasosn when I spotted this thread.

So looking forward to this roster, been working a minors roster the last days but man it becomes too hard to get everything right and having to restart the process once SDS releases a roster update just makes it so much worse.

Good thing about this roster is that it will be complete and work as intended with no missing things and no need to start over again.

Correct. This is one of my favorite concepts about my roster. It is 'frozen in time' so there's no need to update or augment anything unless I feel the need to do so.
