Re: Bacon's Fictional Roster
Bacon's Fictional Roster is a fully functional fictional roster on MLB The Show. My 2019 version will be released later today. The basis of the roster is that it is completely separate from real life and the players who are currently active in the MLB. I poured lots of time and effort into making it the best it can be and I believe it's some of the best work that's ever been done by myself.
Best way to get into it is just to play games and view the rosters. You'll get to know players a lot quicker by playing games and learning some tendencies until you find a favorite team to run a franchise with.Comment

Somewhat. I have difficulty articulating why but they aren't listed as clearly as I have them laid out on the basic companion.Comment

Re: Bacon's Fictional Roster
It's Roster Drop Day Guys!
I'm gonna use this post to provide some more information about the three versions of the roster I'll be uploading today so HERE WE GO
1) "Bacon's Fictional Roster 2019"
Bacon's Fictional Roster 2019 will be the most similar to the previous versions of my roster released in the past. It's a full 90 man with complete free agents, a full 40-man roster that I created and no real players on the roster at all. Any remaining roster spot that needed to be filled is filled by a generic CAP like on the default roster because I have not yet filled entire 90 man rosters with my own CAPs just yet.
2) "Bacon's Fictional Roster with All-Stars"
Bacon's Fictional Roster with All-Stars is a new version of my roster that still includes every fictional player in the other two versions but also has every real SCEA version of every 2018 MLB All-Stars listed on legend teams and appearing in free agency. This provides a hybrid-type mix between fully fictional and the best real players out now...should be fun to compare the best creations I have to their real life counterparts!
3) "Bacon's Fictional Roster WIP"
Bacon's Fictional Roster Work In Progress (WIP) will be an extremely different and new version of the same roster. This set will only include the Create-A-Players that I have made myself with no generic CAPs like on the other two. Instead, the Minor Leagues mostly include filler type players named "New Fielder" or "New Pitcher" who are 45 years old, with F potential and 0 attributes across the board. Most of these fillers will retire in the first season of any Franchise or Road to the Show. This is the version of the roster I am using this year and have used in past years for my own franchises. I released a similar version to this roster on MLBTS18 on March 23, 2019.

Re: Bacon's Fictional Roster
Hey 27, I appreciate the Q.
I did create all ratings from scratch. I mostly tried to mimic what the MLB was when I began watching in the early 2000's so I obviously wouldn't call it "old school" but it is from the era before the "three true outcomes" era that we're currently in and have been in for a few seasons now.
In the beginning of player creation, the ratings were somewhat random and all kinds of types but then I needed to create players to fill a niche like lefty mashers or defensive specialists. I would be laying in bed and think of a certain type of player I could create so I would write down some notes about what he would excel at before jumping on The Show to create but then I would also just play around and slide attributes left and right until it felt good. There are players scattered around with certain skills that others aren't as good at which is meant to mimic how players in the minor leagues in real life may be better at certain skills than big leaguers but the MLB players are better overall.
Lastly, if you want to adjust the way the game plays, sliders are useful to manipulate how the CPU plays you back so I HIGHLY recommenced getting familiar with how all these work so you can make in game adjustments.

Okay guys...all 3 types are up. Download, rate and enjoy!
Here's a step-by-step on how to download my roster and any other rosters from the community vault.
1. Open MLB The Show 19.
2. Once on the home screen, press R1 twice to page over to the "Community" tab on the home screen.
3. Select the "Vaults" option.
4. Select the "Roster Vault" option.
5. Press triangle to search the vault and insert my PSN: cwebs96 into the find function then press square.
6. Locate "Bacon's Fictional Roster 2019", "Bacon's Fictional Roster WIP" or "Bacon's Roster w/ 2018 All Stars" and press X. Then select "Download"
7. MLB The Show prompts you to name it whatever at this point and once it backs out of this screen, you have successfully downloaded the roster.
8. Enjoy! Play with the roster! Tell your friends about the roster! Upload gameplay from the roster to YouTube or Twitch!Comment

Btw was just thinking this is also great for RTTS as you can carry it over year to year with no problems that players got taken out of the game, i been playing a RTTS carry over since 2016 but so many players are now out that names are now numbers so this would be a great solutionLast edited by FunGaming44; 04-08-2019, 08:46 PM.Comment
