Re: Bacon's Fictional Roster
The roster is now in the vault!
It's named "Bacon's Fictional 26" and can be found under my PSN: cwebs96.
The roster was made on PS5 but the vaults are cross compatible so it does not matter which system you are trying to DL it on! It's just a 26 man roster for each team with some free agents but the next one will be fuller then the next on after that.
Thanks to everyone for all the support! Please go to the vault, DL and Rate it! That would be much appreciated!!

Bacon,
Love the roster and THANK YOU for doing this I'm sure its an enormous amount of work. I downloaded the roster this evening and did a fantasy draft to mix it up. The players look great as always and the ratings look a little more even distributed than last year, it seems like the players are heavier and there are more power hitters this year. Also, one suggestion, I can totally get the cheeky nicknames of some of the players, but when they're too cheeky, like say 'Mo Money" its can break the immersion of playing in a new league. Just a thought for the update. I will uprate the roster and totally appreciate the work you do.Comment

Re: Bacon's Fictional Roster
I think with some of the "un-realistic" names in the real world that would probably be their nickname. If I know a guy with the last name Money at so point I'd probably call him Mo' Money. First real world example that comes to mind is CoCo Crisp.

Plenty of historical examples of 'fun' names throughout baseball history.
Catfish Hunter
Pokey Reese
CoCo Crisp
Dick Pole
Oil Can Boyd
Frankly, I think current era players are a bit 'boring' when it comes to names and having these fun names in this roster makes it far more immersive.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

I think the boringness of nicknames is evident during the annoying “players weekend” where they can have their nicknames on their jerseys. IMO one of the worst ideas MLB has ever come up with.

Re: Bacon's Fictional Roster
I’ve been referring to him as DePriest DeBeast recently. The guy couldn’t hit in spring training so I started the season with him in AAA. Used him as an injury call up and he hasn’t left the lineup since. He’s hitting .328 with 19 homers and 37 RBI and he missed the first 2 weeks of the season being in the minors. I play with the universal DH so it’s been easy to keep him in the lineup every day. The story lines that evolve with the fictional rosters are just amazing and make the game so much more fun to play.

Re: Bacon's Fictional Roster
Hello again everybody,
Sorry I have not been as active as years past here on OS. Part of the reason I haven't been here as much is because I have been hit with a lot of big things in my personal life (like graduating college and being promoted) AND I am trying to pump up my new discord as much as I can! - https://discord.gg/XmdTFabHWP
The rumors are true! The 40 man version of my roster was uploaded to the roster vault on MLB 21 on Thursday afternoon and it is titled "Bacon's Fictional 40" The goal for the next version, a 65 player count, is yet to be determined but I will post about it once I come up with a tentative date for release!
The vaults are indeed cross platform so it shouldn't matter which of the four consoles you have The Show on, you can play with the most recent roster!
