Depends on how long you plan on sticking with a franchise. The draftees make their transition considerably faster than real life. Those top 10 drafted, high OVR, A-rated prospects will pop up at the MLB level after about 2 years depending on the team that drafted them. I've played through four years and didn't see a ton of them but they definitely stick out when they do. I only edited appearance for players that made it to the MLB. I considered adjusting various attributes but ultimately didn't want to sink that much time and effort as SDS doesn't make it easy to keep track of the draft picks.

I'm at that point of the cycle of this game where I dive into this roster to play casually.

I really dove in and downloaded 30 created stadiums and assigned them to each team.

I have played 1 game a week with a team to check out the roster and stadium. As well as some player lock to play with the roster's best players.

Been really fun and looking forward to hopefully carrying this over into next year and really diving into it

I really hope they bring back the year-to-year saves. Do you think they will bring them back? Have you heard anything about it?

So the million dollar question....will these rosters find their way to '22 with no carry over saves?

Since there's been very little activity in this thread and no Y2Y saves in MLB 22, we probably won't see Bacon's roster in the new game?

Understandable if true, but it will be a great miss.

I'm considering firing MLB 21 back up after significant time away.

What's the latest, best version of BFR for 21 in the vault, just so I know what to look for.

                    Thanks!

It should still be the one from September; which is the full 93.

Can’t blame him. It’s a ton of work to recreate all of these players. What would be cool is if he recreated the top 50 players from the league.

Still a lot of work but would be fun to have some BFR in 22

I only recently got around to using Bacon's roster in franchise on 21 fairly recently and I absolutely love it. Stellar stuff all around, and it makes for a very fun and enjoyable gaming experience.

Now that I've learned Y2Y saves are off the table in 22, I've decided to just skip getting this year's game, which will be the first time I've done so since MLB The Show's inaugural game. Just having too much fun with this.

Totally agree, I'm still using Bacon's on MLB the Show 20, last year was the first year I didn't but the new version of the show and I won't be buying this years version either.

Thanks again for all the kind words everybody! This is and always will be my favorite thread on this website!

I mentioned it on my Twitter and within my discord server that I recently got a big work promotion so for the first time since I started the roster, BFR's future is in question.

I'm so glad so many people have enjoyed my work over the years and it's such a great feeling to know users here on OS are still talking about it even though I haven't been around the forums much myself. I still love The Show, baseball as a whole & BFR and with the new improvements to franchise (thanks to our boy Tim Barnes!), I want BFR to live in future iterations more than anyone else so it sucks to not be able to devote as much time this year as I have in the last few.

I really still am unsure what the future holds but again, I do check my Twitter and Discord much more frequently than here so catch me there if you have questions, recommendations or want to help me keep BFR relevant.
