Progression suggestion for MLB The Show 18

    Players potential types

MLB The Show needs to implement a type of player potential, lets say his pot is 85 but there should be an option where we can assign/edit a player type:

    •Power hitter
    •Contact hitter
    •Power/Contact hitter
    •Glove first player (defense)
    •All around player

This way the player can be rated accurately by their current production but they would progress as expected by their type, the current system prioritize the highest rated attributes, so a player that is expected to be a great hitter but has Defense rated higher than his offense because is having a bad season or any other reason will progress as a glove first guy instead of how he is expected to develop, that could be fixed by implementing their expected type of player along their potential value (1-99), so the game will know how far the player will climb in the rating scale but also which attributes empathize to match the expected type.

(Speed should decrease as the player gets older, the current system allows a player to progress his speed in the 20's or early 30's in order to reach his potential which shouldn't happen)

yeah if you take a propspect, say Ozzie Smith in his rookie year and rate him an A+ potential, he winds up playing more like Cal Ripken than the Wizard we all knew and loved. there at least needs to be an offensive potential rating and a defensive potential rating
