Which roster set would you recommend for me? I'm looking for this criteria...

I need opening day 40 man rosters with the fictitious players out of the box all replaced with created minor league players. It would be nice to have the equipment up to date as possible, the injured players in real life available (I can do without them if it isn't possible) and the contracts set up so it doesn't cause problems in future seasons with salary caps, etc. Does anyone know which roster and which version of it in the vault for MLB 17 The Show this best describes? Thank you in advance.

I suggest you have a look at the attached roster thread. I think there will be a version that comes pretty close to meeting all of your criteria.

87 - 97 - 07 - and 17.

These are REAL Rosters, as the sim stats are 95% accurate.
I got help w/ the 97 set and am nearing finishing the 07 set.
I am still pluggin' away at the 87 set as well.

Thanks for being appreciative, as the only reason I intend to share my work with the public is b/c of the gratitude I have for the Original Roster Creators.

The OSFM 17 should have details that it is the final version.

I have made a few of these kind of rosters in the past and love them. How do you deal with the draft and free agency? For me because I usually had lower rated real players to get stats correct the game was taken over by created draftees after a few seasons and no one really got "real" contracts in free agency.

I ignore the contracts and let the cpu do what they do. I can correct it as next season begins via trades. I would just edit the draftees down, or edit them down and put Potential at ZERO and go with correct 90/40-Man Rosters. Check the Vault for completed 07/17 that I put in vault. Still workin' on 87/97 right now. PM me if you wanna help a bit - nothing major. Sim stats are 95% exact with right sliders.
