I'm exactly the same way, also going to try not to restart normaly i would restart after every update

I see this sentiment a lot. Why? I'm gonna be playing OSFM for the first time so maybe there's something I'm not getting. Updates could adjust prospects' ratings based on performance and reflect any mid-season transactions, sure. But why would so many people restart their entire franchise for that? It's not like there are gonna be new players added, at least until the draft...are there? And besides, I wouldn't really want mid-season roster changes when starting at Opening Day. But that's just me. Anyway, is there anything I'm missing here? Something really important added in updates that I don't wanna miss? lol

Can’t wsit to start my Cubs franchise with version 1. I won’t restart with each updated version or I will never make it through a season.

^this. How guys have the time to play multiple full seasons and then restart with each OSFM update is beyond me. I'll start my main Rockies franchise as soon as we get OSFM Opening Day and then a second random franchise when the second version drops.

Don't hate on us for asking about mlb 17 roster. They said if the demand is there they will do it at the same time. We gotta ask if they want demand. They do great work and we just wanna know. Ain't no different from you posting something in here.

I've never understood why some players like Gary Sanchez are 91 overall but have a 87 potential or trea Turner who is 87 with 81 potential. They decrease even if they are having career years

I think everyone has to let SCEA do what they have to do as far as online franchise to get the mode right... and they will..... in the meantime

I have talked with a few of the OSFM guys and we will do something we never did before

We will simultaneously release a 2017 version of updated OSFM rosters with our 2018 so that everyone who plays online franchise can still enjoy that this year with the 17 version.....as long as the demand for this is there this will be the plan

They re-do the ratings and add in real minor leaguers for all the players.

no they don't. Not on the first release. Later in the season you will see rosters with re-ratings that use the OSFM as a base, but the opening day OSFM roster is strictly about the "full minors" aspect and adding in players not in the game at the major league level.

The one thing I go through and adjust. Any player like that: Turner, Gregorious, and Sanchez come to mind, I adjust their potential to match their overall.

After the intial roster comes out another group here uses that roster and redoes all ratings plus things like full equipment edits for the SCEA players and pitchers pitch edits for the SCEA players to be more accurate. OSFM is great but those edits add even more to it, so people end up restarting to use those rosters with full edits.

SONY does that for players past there prime that they expect will decline this year (and in the future).

Yes he was like that last year..I always changed it to least high C or low B

The glitch and issues put 2017 on the back burner for now... I would suggest Side Effects great updates to the 2017 version and roll with his latest for now
