Re: OSFM 2018 “Opening Day Version” Available Now
Going to the end of spring training and cutting the rosters down to 25 is the only way to use a 40-man roster and have it keep the 25-man roster. Can someone walk me through how to load a 30 team franchise with the OSFM roster and not have it change the roster?
The only options I see are I sim spring training and cut the roster down to 25 or I start it at the regular season and even though I have 30 man control, the CPU cuts and changes the lineup on its own.
Any ideas?Comment

Damn that sucks. There is no way to cut those players in a fast and accurate way, so I'll just stick to the original franchise I started.
Thanks.Comment

Re: OSFM 2018 “Opening Day Version” Available Now
There is always so much confusion regarding the 25/40 thing. Neither leads to accurate rosters without 30 team control, you have to decide what tradeoff you want to deal with.
If you go with 25 man rosters: The opening day rosters will be accurate, but the CPU will not call anyone up to the majors unless there is an injury. Which means injured players that are placed in A ball will sit there for the entire season unless an injury occurs to allow them to get promoted. And minor leaguers performing well won't get brought up.
If you go with 40 man rosters: The opening day rosters won't be accurate other than for the team you control and decide who makes it. The other teams opening day rosters will be based on the best players on the 40 man roster, so the injured good MLB players in A ball will likely make the team out of spring training. The upside is, with a full 40 man roster, the CPU will continue to call up and demote players throughout the season.Comment

I’ve always tried to control all 30 teams to get things to work properly. Not this year. I always tweak and never play and finish. There is always so much confusion regarding the 25/40 thing. Take 1.5, loaded up 40 man rosters outside of franchise mode. Loading up a Mets Franchise and giving it heck this year. No looking back. Just play!
Once I download 1.5 I’m blocking myself from viewing this thread. LOL.Twitch

Same here, assuming 1.5 is a 40. If not I'll stick around until I see someone releases a 1.5 40, then I'm done reading about updates for fear of restarting.I’ve always tried to control all 30 teams to get things to work properly. Not this year. I always tweak and never play and finish.

Just want to thank you guys for everything that you do to make sim baseball come to life! My question is will you make the ratings on this roster available for viewing in an excel spreadsheet or other format? It would greatly help. Thanks!Comment
