Re: OSFM Helmet Chin Guard Info
You don't need to create players from scratch. It works on generic 'fake' players as well. You need to call them up to the MLB team (not the Single-A team). The option becomes unlocked and editable so long as they have the protective helmet like others have said. When you send down a guy to the minors, the mask will disappear, but it reappears if the player is called back up to the majors. This does not work on imported players from '17.
It's a shame they don't stick in the minors, since some guys use them, but I can live with that as long as it's editable in the majors.
For the White Sox:
- Yoan Moncada
- Yolmer Sanchez
- Eloy Jimenez (My version in the vault has this already)
- Luis Robert
- Danny MendickLast edited by CWSpalehoseCWS; 03-27-2018, 12:18 AM.Comment

Re: OSFM Helmet Chin Guard Info
Yes, what I should have said was you don’t need to go to create-a-player each time.

Also I did some testing last night. You can apply the chin guards to the SCEA players that turned generic in the carryover. Tested this out with Max Muncy and a couple of pitchers.
Prospects that wear these though we have to recreate.Comment

Re: OSFM Helmet Chin Guard Info
No worries man I know what you mean. When we say create from scratch we use the fake generic players and edit from there.

I was able to add the chin guards to CAPs carried over from MLB 17, (only when they are at MLB level)Comment

Re: OSFM Helmet Chin Guard Info
You can as long as the guy coming from 17 has a protective helmet. If he doesn't have a protective helmet when you carry him over you can't apply the chin guards.Comment

Re: OSFM Helmet Chin Guard Info
Yeah man I tested this out this morning. Can confirm of the player coming from 17 has any helmet other than protective the chin guard can't be applied. Hopefully they patch a fix. Otherwise, that specific player has to be created over again on 18.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 03-27-2018, 12:34 PM.Comment
